parisian-nicole:

parisian-nicole:

This one character was so amazing because she was so closely linked to the iconic characters of BTVS (C’mon there’s none better than Buffy ‘and’ Willow), and TVD royally fucked up not using her better!

This just occurred to me and I seriously think TVD was biting hard off of BTVS, and I’m happy that they instilled such badassery in Bonnie :D

Just because it’s worth repeating!

And again, so you never forget!

Author’s Note:I have been sitting on this one for a few days now because I am just trash with sexy scenes but I tried with this one. I am writing this off the top of my head so I switched how I wanted to take the story as I was in the middle of writing this chapter. But don’t worry there is a method to the madness and I plan to continue frequently writing on this. And to ‘complete’ this story sooner rather than later. I hope it all flows cohesively, if it doesn’t just go with it, it’s just a fanfic :P :D Anyways, I hope you read it, like it (or you can love it if you want to), and review it.

Consciousness hit her like a sledgehammer to her chest and caused her to bolt upright as she gasped for air. Her eyes were wide and unfocused and couldn’t yet register her surroundings. It had been a familiar voice that pulled her closer towards awareness.

“Bonnie, are you, all right?”

“Grams?” Bonnie called out as her face morphed to a scowl and she locked eyes to her grandmother, who leaned in and captured her in a tight hug. “What happened, where did you go?”

“I didn’t go anywhere, I’ve been right here at your side for nearly an hour. Terrified out of my mind,” Sheila stated as she pulled from the embraced and settled back on the bed beside where Bonnie had been lying. “Child, you scared the hell out of me.”

“No, you disappeared and I couldn’t find you anywhere. I couldn’t even sense your essence at all,” Bonnie continued as she scanned her eyes over her grandmother reassuring herself that she was really there and she was okay. Sheila stared back at her in confusion. “You were supposed to be there, everyone else was there, but you weren’t,” Bonnie sobbed out as her tears finally slipped from her eyes.

“Oh, Babygirl,” Sheila spoke softly to her as she reached out and stroked her cheek, now understanding what Bonnie was telling her. “I am so sorry, Bonnie, I didn’t know you had passed on.”

“What is she talking about?” Elena who had been standing on the other side of the bed beside Stefan spoke out, and Bonnie’s eyes nearly popped from their sockets when she turned to regard her friend.

“Elena?” She called out in surprise which turned to instant fright when she noticed Stefan there as well. Then her eyes finally took in her surroundings as they scanned the room. “And Stefan? Okay, what the hell is going on?” She began to panic.

“Bonnie, calm down,” Sheila consoled. “You’re okay, you’re safe.”

“But this isn’t right. This isn’t my afterlife,” Elena’s brows bunched in confusion at what Bonnie had said while Stefan bowed his head a bit in understanding. “Where are we?”

“We’re at the Salvatore Boardinghouse,” Sheila answered.

“Yeah, I can see that but I don’t understand how we got here,” Bonnie countered. “I died and I was in the afterlife with our loved ones, our ancestors. I was there with them just a second ago, looking for you, and then I was here.”

“Bonnie, I am so sorry baby,” Sheila spoke out as her own tears spilled from her eyes. “Before I was pulled here a couple of days ago, I was in the afterlife too with our ancestors but you weren’t there yet. You were still alive. You didn’t say this was going to happen!” Sheila yelled out as she looked up at the ceiling. “I didn’t want this!” She continued to yell while the others in the room looked on baffled. “I am so sorry Bonnie I didn’t know you had passed on and that I was pulling you from your afterlife.”

“Wait, you mean you’re alive and … I’m alive too?” She asked as she shot her hand to her neck to feel for a pulse which thumped slightly elevated beneath her fingers.

“Sheila,” Stefan cut into the moment. “What’s going on?” Sheila took a deep breath to compose herself, wiped her eyes, and then turned to the vampire.

“I did a spell to give Bonnie all of her memories, from 'our’ future time. They told me that was the only way we’d have a chance to defeat Kai. We needed the most powerful Bennett witch, and that’s you babygirl,”

“They, who’s they?” Elena chimed in.

“Our ancestors. I went to visit them when you all left out this morning. I was seeking their guidance and help on how to stop Kai and ensure Bonnie’s survival. They must have known this was going to happen, which is why they didn’t mention you were already with them in the afterlife. They knew I would have never pulled you from your eternal rest like that.”

“Did you say, Kai?” Bonnie broke in as she became instantly filled with anger, she hadn’t experienced in a very long time at hearing a name she thought and had prayed she’d never hear again. “Kai’s back?”

“Yes, babygirl,” Sheila confirmed while she nodded her head. “Wait, don’t you remember any of the past few days? Everything that’s been going on with Kai?”

“No, I don’t remember anything about that,” Bonnie answered as she shook her head even as she really thought on it. “And my memory is still very sharp for a 92-year-old, according to my doctor. Well, at least it was before I died after having a massive heart attack in my sleep, night before last,” She added with a pout. “But I do remember Malachai Parker. I’ve never been able to forget that bastard. But I locked him away in for good I thought.”

“Unfortunately, he found a way out,” Sheila said. “And I don’t know how he did it, but Kai’s come back to the past. He said he wanted to have a clean slate to make amends with you. At least that is what Damon told us he said to you two when you ran into him earlier today,”

“Damon,” Bonnie pushed out in shock and elation. All of the thoughts and concerns she had just had about where she was and Kai dimmed in her mind when she heard the elder Salvatore brother’s name. “Where is he?”

“We don’t know. I’ve been doing location spells to try to track him, but Kai’s more powerful than he should be. So, he’s either got some very powerful witch helping him, or he’s siphoned their powers for himself, which is more likely,” Sheila answered but then Stefan spoke out again.

“Damon’s off somewhere licking his wounds,” He said fully understanding who Bonnie was actually asking about. “Kai told you something about Damon’s past that you weren’t aware of and it really scared you. Damon thinks you hate him again and will never forgive him. So, he left a while ago despite my warnings that it wasn’t safe with kai out there. But Damon has never been one to listen to reason.”

“Yeah, and that only gets worse as he gets older,” Bonnie snorted out around a chuckle before she grew serious again. “But, I’m pretty sure I know everything about Damon’s past,” Bonnie remarked as she frowned up and thought about what was the worst things, he had ever told her about, “He’s told me all about it. Even the most unsavory parts, so believe me, nothing would shock me at this point.”

“Maybe not at 92,” Sheila started to explain. “But Bonnie, it’s November 19th, 2009 and you’re 16 years-old.” At hearing this Bonnie held her hands out to look down at them and found youthful smaller hands. She then touched her face where she found smooth skin. And then finally touched her breast to find them firm and supple.

“Oh my God,” Was all Bonnie could get out though she shouldn’t have been too shocked. Afterall, she was looking at Elena who looked to be 17 and not the 78-year-old woman she had last seen when she accompanied Damon and Stephanie to Elena’s funeral. “So, Kai’s plan was to come back to a time 'before’ I knew who he was?”

“Yeah, but Kai apparently didn’t do the spell correctly,” Stefan answered.

“I’m not surprised,” Bonnie said with a slight eye-roll. “He’s always been foolish with magic, which is why he’s so dangerous.”

“Exactly,” Sheila spoke with a smile and a nod of her head. “Maybe giving you your future memories was the best recourse. You’re remembering things about Kai, as well as, all that you’ve learn over the years about your own magic. All of that will help us fight him.”

“Oh, I’m not going to fight him. I’m going to destroy him, and this time I’m not going to play nice. He’s messed with me and mine for the last time,” Bonne hissed out and her face darkened. Her words and demeanor caused concern in Elena who was not used to seeing Bonnie like this or hearing such coldness in her voice. “So, how come you all remembered our future but Grams, you had to do a spell to bring mine back?”

“I don’t remember either,” Elena spoke out as she raised her hand a little and then folded it back across her chest.

“Somehow, the spell Kai did sent the memories of all supernatural beings back to their past selves in this time,” Sheila answered. “But only to those who were already a supernatural being during this time. Elena wasn’t yet a vampire and you, baby, you were just now starting to tap into your magic, and as I recall you weren’t too receptive about being a witch. So, you weren’t powerful enough yet, that’s why the spell didn’t affect 16-year-old you.”

“Thank you for bringing my memories back, believe me it was necessary because what little magic I knew back when I was 16 would not have done anything to Kai, except maybe amuse him. But I’ve learned a lot about my magic in the 76 years since,” She declared as she held out her hand and conjured a vibrant blue electrical ball of energy. “And it looks like I still have all that power.”

“Wow, last week you could barely float a feather,” Elena stated as she threw her friend an impressed smile, and Bonnie smile back at her old friend. A friend she hadn’t been as close too in their golden years due to both of their relationships with Damon, but she was still very happy to see her.

“Well, I’m not that meek girl who was scared of magic,” Bonnie said as she closed her hand and dispelled the ball of energy. “I am a grown woman well aware of my powers, and I am not afraid to use my powers to kick Kai’s ass,” She declared and then quickly shot large, frightened eyes back to her grandmother, who sat watching her with a smirk and arched brows. “I’m sorry for cursing, Grams.”

“Don’t be,” Sheila said with a chuckle. “Like you just said you are a grown woman and from a living life point-of-view, technically you’re older that me. But don’t let that fool you, young lady, I will put you over my knee and give you a whipping if you get out of hand,” She added on jokingly as they both giggled. “And speaking of whipping, are you sure you’re up to facing Kai?”

“Yeah, especially now that I have you here to help me.” Sheila grasped her hand and sent her a loving smile at these words. “But I will be needing something else,” She said this as she got down from the massive bed while the other watched her curiously. “I just have to go find him,” She added as she moved a few steps away from the bed, closed her eyes, and took a couple of deep breaths. “Invenio,” She said before blipping away right before the other’s eyes.

“Whoa what just happened? Where did Bonnie go?” Elena questioned as she stared awestruck at the spot Bonnie had disappeared from.

“I think Bonnie finally mastered the teleportation spell,” Stefan said with a slight smile.

“Mastered it?” Sheila chimed in as she sat amazed, proud, and a little concerned by what she had just witnessed. “No, she reinvented it. I have never seen it done like that before.”

That same moment, elsewhere

“God, I really hate you. I have always hated you. And now I hate myself because apparently, I’m just as evil and cruel as you ever were. No, no I’ve surpassed you in that regard. So, I guess I’ve kept your legacy alive. Like father, like son,” He spat out as he lifted the half empty bourbon bottle to his mouth, but instead of drinking from the bottle he threw it to shatter against the gravestone he stood in front of. “What a waste of good bourbon,” He mumbled out as he reached down and started to unloop his belt.

“Don’t you dare,” The feminine voice warned him and Damon snapped his head to his right and looked onto his uninvited visitor.

“Bonnie?” He called out to her in almost a whisper.

“The one and only,” She replied and it brought a feeling of deja vu for them. Damon was stunned that she was there but still happy and excited to see her, but that fast turned to fear and anger.

“What the hell are you doing out here? How did you get here?” He added on as he looked for her car but found only his parked nearby. “You know it’s not safe with Kai running around.”

“Wow, and I thought for sure you’d be happier to see me,” She said as she tossed him a small frown and he frowned back in confusion to her words. She then rushed to him, leapt up on him, and wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist. Damon had instinctively welcomed her and wrapped his arms around her waist even as he continued to stare at her lost. “Hi,” She said as he stared at her in utter bewilderment and she giggled a little at his expense and then turned serious as she studied his face. “Man, I forgot just how gorgeous you were at this age,” She could now see danger and suspicion cloud his eyes as he regarded her. “It’s me, Damon. I mean, the future me. Your best friend,” She spoke this as she playfully bobbed her head from side to side and his mouth fell open in shock. His eyes told her that he still had doubts. “Grams did a spell that brought all my 'future’ memories back to 16-year-old me,” She finished with a smile.

“Sorry, but I’m gonna need a little more than just your word,” Damon said even though his heart was already elated and sure of who it was he held in is arms. At first, he had thought maybe it were some trick Kai was pulling, but this 'felt’ like his Bon-Bon. She smiled at him and then swooped in and captured his mouth in a gentle, sweet kiss. He instantly reacted by tightening his left arm more snugly around her waist and then reached up his right hand and gripped the back of her head to hold her to him. He deepened the kiss no longer caring if this might be some figment of his imagination that Kai could be conjuring up. Damon decided he would relish this moment. Bonnie moaned and enjoyed the flavor of their combined tastes on her tongue. After another moment of bliss she ended the kiss just as suddenly as she had begun it.

“I have wanted to do that for so long, Damon, and I wish to God I had done it years ago. I wish we had just run away together like I know you wanted us to do. But it’s too late now my friend, my love. Maybe in our next life we will be together again. And I will hope and pray that I will see you in my next life,” She said these words as a tear slid down her cheek, just as tears spilled from Damon’s eyes.

“That was the last thing you ever said to me. The last thing I heard before I died,” He said around a sad smile as he recalled her at his bedside, holding his hand. Then she had kissed him and whispered those words to him just before he drifted away. Bonnie smiled back at him as she nodded her head and wiped away his tears. He had long ago stopped trying to hide his softer side from Bonnie because he knew he was always safe with her. She wouldn’t laugh or mock him for it, but would always listen to his woes, and literally let him cry on her shoulders. Just as he would always do for her. “And I know you were trying to console me before I died, but it only pissed me off. I thought, 'how dare she tell me this now, when I can’t do anything about it’. I was in love with you, you know? And I had been for many years,” He finally confessed what he had never had the courage to tell her before in their other life.

“I know,” She replied in a hushed tone as she dropped her forehead to his and closed her eyes.

“And to tell me you felt the same on my deathbed, well, that’s kind of cruel, Bon-Bon,” Damon stated but his voice held no real malice.

“I’m sorry, I just couldn’t let you die thinking that I didn’t know how you truly felt about me. Mostly, I wanted you to know that I felt the same for you. But we both decided in that life that we would just be best friends. You chose a life with Elena and Stephanie and I chose to travel the world doing my charity work. And we were both happy and content in our lives, for the most part.”

“Yeah, but we could have been so much more had we been together,” Damon said what they both felt was the truth. Bonnie nodded in agreement.

“Well, we’re together right now,” She said as she leaned back some so, she could look him in his eyes. “And I can’t believe I’m saying this, but thanks to Kai we get to do it all over again. And there’s nothing to stop us from doing things differently if we want to.”

“Oh, I want to,” Damon quickly interjected as his hold on her tightened as if to keep her from slipping away from him.

“So, do I,” Bonnie replied as she purposely twirled her hips a little to apply pleasurable friction against the growing bulge she felt pressing between her legs. “I still love you. I still want you, Damon, and I don’t want to wait any longer. In fact, I want you to make love to me right now,” She said this and moved her hands from around his neck and down to rake across the exposed flesh that peeked out of the top of the black cotton shirt he wore. A shiver rushed through him at her touch.

“Well, I am always happy to oblige, but do you really want to do that in the Mystic Falls Cemetery on top of my father’s grave? That’s kind of disrespectful don’t you think?”

“Asks the man who was just about to piss on said grave,” She responded with a smirk.

“I piss on this grave all the time for sentimental reasons. It’s like a family tradition. But, do you really want your first time to be on the ground in a graveyard.”

“This technically wouldn’t be my first time, you know,” She said around a sly smile and let the implication sit there so he would wonder if she had ever actually made love in a graveyard before. She knew it would be a conversation that he would bring back up to her later. Damon narrowed his eyes and smirked back at her for a second before he spoke again.

“I meant that your mind and memories may be that of an 80-year-old woman—”

“I actually lived to be 92,” She cut in and his smiled widened a little at know she had lived to see another decade after he had died.

“But this body,” He continued as he let his hands slip down to grip her ass, which he gave a light squeeze. “Is the body of a 16-year-old virgin. And now I feel like a dirty old man,” He scowled up a bit at the thought.

“Damon, you 'are’ a dirty old man and have been for as long as I’ve known you. Question is are you going to let any of what you just said stop you from making love to?” She asked and he simply shook his head no in reply.

“No. I want you too badly and I’ve wanted you for too long to allow my chivalrous nature to stop me, but I want you in a big bed. Unfortunately, my bed is not really an option, not with Sheila staying at the Boardinghouse right now.”

“Invenio,” Bonnie said and Damon felt as if he had to catch his breath as he blinked and found that they were no longer in the cemetery but now stood in some darkened bedroom. Once his nose took in the scents, all of which were engrained in his brain as 'Bonnie’s Scent’, he knew he was in her childhood bedroom at the home she shared with her father. “Will this do?” Bonnie asked him as she removed her legs from around his waist and settled her feet firmly on the floor.

“Well, the bed isn’t all that big, but, yeah, it’ll do,” Damon replied as he smirked down at her and then he stumbled back and plopped down onto the bed after Bonnie shoved his chest. She then smiled down at him seductively and yanked the loose fitting light blue tank up and over her head, and tossed it on the floor. As she stood in only a black lacy, satin bra and short, cut-off denim shorts Damon’s eyes raked over her cinnamon skin. He drank in every inch of her exposed flesh as she unbuttoned the shorts and shimmied out of them. Never one to be outdone, Damon sat more upright and quickly yanked the black tee he wore over his head, and dropped it beside the bed. He inwardly chuckled at the way Bonnie stared appreciatively at his bare muscular chest, with a hungry look of someone half starved. He then reached down and removed his shoes and socks. Next, he stood and divested himself of the black casual fitting jeans he had worn. His erect member making that task a little difficult for him. He stepped closer to her and for a split second he saw uncertainty flash in her eyes, and in that moment, she truly looked like a scared 16-year-old girl who was about to lose her virginity. Despite his earlier proclamation his chivalrous nature peeked out. “Are you sure you want to do this, Bonnie? We can wait if you need more time to adjust to everything.”

“No, I want to be with you more than anything right now, Damon. It has taken us over 60 years to finally do this,” She spoke. “We’ve both waited long enough. It’s just that …”

“It’s just that what?” He coaxed her to tell him as he reached down and hooked his fingers under her chin and lifted her face so her eyes were looking directly at his.

“This isn’t some fleeting, in the heat of the moment thing to me,” She began to explain. “Damon, when I say that I want you and want to be with you, I mean, I’m in love with you and I want a romantic, committed, monogam…Mmhmm,” Damon ended her words and relieved her worries by pulling her into a sensuous kiss. He released her from the kiss, cupped her face in both hands, leaned down a little, and looked deeply into her eyes.

“I want all of those things too, Bon-Bon,” He declared. “I have been in love with you for a very long time Bonnie Bennett. I was in love with you even before I was fully aware of it. I know without a shadow of a doubt that I want to spend the rest of my life and my afterlife with you. I would marry you right now if you and the state of Virginia would let me,” He ended with a playful and loving smile and she smiled back at him.

“Well, in about 15 months from now the state of Virginia will have no say,” She said as she placed both of her hands against his chest. He slid his hands from underneath her forearms, over her elbow, and upward to lightly gripped them around both of her wrists.

“And what would you say?” Damon asked the question that he had pondered for over 50 years whenever he would indulge in his fantasies of running away with Bonnie.

“I’d say yes,” She replied with a smile and reached up, grasped his neck, and slowly pulled his face down to her until his lips brushed against hers. “I would always say yes for you, Damon,” She affirmed and then kissed him deeply. He enveloped her in his arms again, reached behind her, and unhooked her bra allowing it to fall to the floor. He then took a step back so he could look upon her and fully appreciate her immaculate body.

“Damn, leave it to you to be even more sexy than I’d ever imagine you to be in my wettest and wildest dreams about you,” He genuinely complimented her as she bowed her head coyly and blushed. “I mean it, Bonnie. You are so fucking beautiful; inside and out. I hope you realize what you’re getting yourself into. I don’t know if you know this about me, but I can be a little obsessive,” He said jokingly through a knowing smile as Bonnie cackled out at his words. “… And once I have you, I will never, ever give you up,” Damon declared, and Bonnie smiled saucily at him as she took a step closer and shoved him. He landed on the bed and settled back onto his elbows. This position showed his tremendous bulge which spoke to just how excited he was in that moment as he continued to worship her with his eyes. Bonnie moved to Damon and straddled his lap. She began to slowly grind her center on his engorged member. The action caused their eyes to roll shut and heads to fall back, at the jolt of pleasure that struck them in their core. Damon reached up both hands and grasped her waste to affix her more firmly to his now painfully swollen crotch. He guided her movements in a purposeful manner that heightened both their pleasure.

“Damon,” Bonnie gasped out in a whispery tone, that sounded as if she were having a difficult time catching her breath. The rubbing against her swollen clit shook her so much it made her jostle forward and clutch Damon’s forearms. Damon planned to take this slow, which he knew would be an excruciating feat for him. But he also knew that at this time in Bonnie’s life she was still a virgin. Sure, she had the memories of a life long-lived, but this body had not yet known the pleasure he had intended to show it.

Bonnie reveled at the ecstasy Damon was invoking in her just by groping and grinding against her. It had been more than 30 years prior to her death, that she had experienced this kind of intimate encounter with a man. As she recalled they both had had to put a lot of effort to get her to the pleasure point Damon already had her at. She was sure that it was not because he was now once again a supernatural being, as she had loved Enzo too and when they had made love, he had never made her feel as intensely as she did right now. Maybe it was because she had wanted this for so long that the anticipation of it made it feel ten-fold. She could not even recall how it had felt the first time she had lost her virginity to Jeremy, but what she did know for sure was that Damon was big, and this was going to cause her some pain and discomfort, and make her untouched body bleed a little. At the present, she didn’t care. She would take any pain so long as she could continue to feel this wonderful, desired, and loved. Her movements became erratic and out of sync with the pace Damon had set and she gyrated wildly in pursuit of that next level of pleasure that plucked at her at every pass of her crotch against his. A long and low moan escaped her lips that vocalized to Damon that she needed more.

“I know baby,” He hissed out through gritted teeth as he fought his primal needs that told him to just rip into her fangs and cock. He lifted more and wrapped his left arm around her waist and slid his right hand up her back, gripped the back of her neck, and pulled her into him. He nuzzled his nose into her neck and then moved up to kiss her right earlobe. “I’ve got what you need, and I’m gonna take care of you Bonnie,” He whispered the promise in her ear, and she moaned in reply. His human guise dropped a bit as he allowed his fangs to descend. He focused his attention onto her neck where he could see her blood pumping through her vein, with slow, precise movements he slid his fangs into her neck, making sure to grip her neck in his hand so she would not jerk unexpectant from his intrusion and cause tearing.

“Oh my God!” Bonnie half screamed, half moaned and clung to him as she was instantly punched with an orgasm, which seemed to have aftershocks with every small sip Damon took of her blood. She convulsed as her body welcomed the assault of pleasure beating on it. He held her more firmly against his chest as he retracted his fangs from her neck, and quickly turned them to settle her back onto the bed. He laid his body over hers, resting most of his upper body weight on his bent elbows. Bonnie parted her legs more, so that Damon could settle comfortably into her middle, where she could continue the grind that her body seemed to be doing on its own accord. He licked at the puncture wounds in her neck to close them and stop the seeping of blood. Then he rose until he was able to stare down into Bonnie’s face. She laid with her eyes closed, mouth partially opened, as she panted for air while she recovered. He thought she was breathtaking. After a second’s pause, she opened her eyes to see why he had stopped touching her and was greeted with his electric blue eyes gazing down at her lovingly. “Damon, please don’t stop,” She pleaded in a mournful tone, and he smirked down at her.

“Stop? Bon-Bon, I haven’t even started yet,” Damon stated around a cocky smile and then he swooped in and gave her a quick, deep kiss. He pulled from the kiss and sucked just her bottom lip into his mouth, before just as quickly releasing it as he kissed his way down her neck, across her clavicle bone, until he reached her pert breasts. Bonnie’s breathing came in heaves as she lay staring up at the ceiling awaiting his next touch. Finally, he reached her breasts, and he trailed his tongue from her left breast over to her right. He licked his way around her rigid nipple and areola before he finally grasped the breast in his left hand and latched on to suckle her greedily. He also reached his right hand up to pluck and pinch her left nipple.

“Unhnnn,” Bonnie moaned out as she closed her eyes to the jolt of pleasure that strummed her center when his hot mouth covered her breast. She pushed her head back against her bed, fisted her left hand in the bedding as she arched her back, then gripped the back of his head with her other hand. Damon could feel the moisture and heat spilling from her satin covered center as it brushed across his abdomen when Bonnie gyrated. He traced his right hand from her left breast down her side until it reached the only thing left that restricted his exploration of her body. Bonnie hurriedly lifted her bottom up a little from the bed which allowed Damon to remove the satin black panties and toss them over his shoulder. He slid his right hand further down, between where their bodies touched, and he stroked his finger across her nub and into the open of her nether lips. Bonnie bucked against his fingers to increase the friction that was fast bringing her to another orgasm. Feeling her juices coat his fingers made Damon quickly rethink his earlier plan to go slowly. He dipped three of his fingers across her vulva to thoroughly wet the digits. Then pulled his mouth from her breast, lifted the glistened fingers and sucked them into his mouth. Bonnie licked her lips as she watched the extremely erotic scene of Damon closing his eyes and moaning as he sucked her juices from his fingers as if it were the nectar of the Gods. He finally pulled his fingers from his mouth with a sated sigh.

“Jesus, Bonnie, you taste so fucking good. I need a moment,” And he released a shuttered breath. “You’re making it so hard for me to stick to my plan to go slow and easy with you,” He added as he closed his eyes again and forcefully willed away those primal urges that once again tried to encroach.

“Oh, don’t you dare wear kid gloves with me, Damon Salvatore. Not after I have waited so long for this moment,” She practically growled out and she leaned forward until she had a hold on the briefs he wore. She yanked them down some. She then lay back again and used her feet to push the briefs to the floor where they bunched at his knees, allowing his beefy cock to spring free. She then possessively wrapped both of her legs around his waist and tugged him closer until she could feel the large bell of his cock pressed intimately at her entrance, where he stilled her movement by locking his hip. “I want you completely, Damon, and uninhibited.”

“I need to pace myself because I just don’t trust myself right now. I’ve only been a vampire again for just a couple of days, after being a mere mortal man for the past 70 some years. I don’t want to risk possibly hurting you, Bon-Bon,” Damon spoke truthfully for he was afraid that if he let himself go as he really wanted to, his vampiric nature could really harm her. She smiled sweetly up at him as she lifted her right hand and cupped the left side of his face. He closed his eyes and nuzzled into her touch.

“I trust you with my life, Damon. I love you and I want you so badly, all of you,” She added and as if her words had been the key to the last locks of his restraint, he settled back down over her. She watched with heightened arousal as blood filled and darkened his eyes and small black veins began to pop out under his eyes. He opened his mouth a little to flash his fangs to her. Bonnie could recall that back when she was originally just a 16-year-old girl, seeing this side of Damon terrified her as she could always see, and feel his dislike and contempt for her. Now, all she saw and felt was Damon’s adoration and love.

“I love you,” He proclaimed right before he flashed to her neck and buried his fangs into her once again. This time the orgasm felt twice as fierce, and she panted to try to catch her breath. With every swallow pull on her neck stretched out the orgasm with left Bonnie frantically raking her nails into Damon’s hair and across his back in search of release. Damon continued to take tiny drinks from her neck but knowing that it was prolonging her orgasm. He wanted her to the point of delirium. When she pushed the heels of her feet into his back side to try to get him even closer, and then she viciously bit into his neck drawing blood, he quickly surged forward.

“AHHHHHHH!” Bonnie screamed at the top of her lungs with all her might as the most extraordinary orgasm exploded in her womb, and a potent pain tore through her at the same time. Damon never stopped his movements as he continued to suckle her blood, and piston in and out of her core. His thrusting became easier as her path became lubricated with what he could feel and smell was her virgin blood, spilled when he tore through her hymen. “Hnnnnhhh, Damon,” she whimpered as she held him closer and buried her finger in the hair on the back of his head and rocked her body in rhythm with his, as she followed his lead. “Oh, Damon … Damon,” She sing-sung between her gasps for air. “Oh …Oh, God,” She sobbed out her face now completely wet with her tears as she felt yet another orgasm seeking to crest. Damon pulled his fangs from her throat and pulled back to stare down at her. Bonnie looked right up into his now human face but could not focus on anything but the building pleasure. Damon felt his own orgasm rising and he reached his hands down to grip the back of each of her thighs. He then lifted both of her legs and pushed them back to rest against her chest.

“Shit, Shit, Shit!” She chanted out as she clamped her eyes closed, arched up a little, and pushed her head back into the bed. This new position allowed Damon to stretch and fill her more, which she hadn’t thought possible. Hours soaking in a hot bath was definitely in her future, she thought. Then she was completely taken by surprise when another wave of rapture threatened to overtake her.

“Look at me, Bon-Bon,” Damon panted out as his thrusts escalated. She obeyed and locked her tear-filled eyes on to his. “That’s it, baby. Now, I want you to come for me. Come with me Bonnie,” He grunted out as he lost himself in his own orgasm. He brutally pounded into her; his thighs smacked into her backside already causing slight bruising.

“FUUUUUCK!” Bonnie screamed as she bucked them nearly off the bed when an earth-shattering orgasm slammed into her. Damon reached down and gathered her into his embrace and held her close as she rode it out. When her body went limp in his arms, he gently repositioned their bodies to lie side-by-side atop the bed, but he still held her close to him. He kissed the top of her head as he allowed his eyes to close while a satisfied smile graced his lips.

“God, had I known that making love to you would feel this amazing, I would have never allowed you to free us from Kai’s prison world. I would have just killed his annoying self and happily lived out the rest of my life there with you alone,” Bonnie smiled at his words and then kissed his sweaty chest.

“Me too,” she agreed. “But hey, all that hasn’t happened yet, and who’s to say it still won’t? I mean I know that future has already been alter thanks to Kai’s spell, but I am sure there will be some things that are just destined to happen to us just as it did before,” She concluded as she pressed herself more into his body, sighed contently as she felt Mr. Sandman knocking at her door. Damon lay with his arms possessively wrapped around her. He lay awake contemplating what Bonnie had just said and tried to recall all the dangerous encounters that Bonnie had endured. He made a silent vow to do whatever it took to make sure he eliminated all those threats before they could ever touch her. Damon was unaware that one of those major threats was perch in the tree across the street seething as he watched the two new lovers drift off to sleep.

The second Kai had been alerted by the spell he had cast to track Bonnie whenever she left the boardinghouse, he went out in search of her. He had been disappointed when he finally found her at her family home which had much more stronger protection spells on it than what was surrounding the Salvatore homestead. He sat on the branch of the tree enraged and jealous as he watched Bonnie and Damon’s coupling. It had been his long-time desire to woo Bonnie, make her fall in love with him, and then he would be her first. But Damon had ruined that for him. He had been telling the truth when he said he had not wanted to hurt Bonnie. He did care deeply for her more than he had ever cared for anything or anyone in his life. He had wanted her to willingly share her powers with him, and together they would be 'the’ power couple. Now, things had changed, his Plan A was now shot to hell, so it was time to come up with a Plan B.

More to come…

Author’s Note:I know it’s been a long while, but I am really feeling inspired in this new year. It is my hope that this year will bring nothing but great things, like me finishing several stories I have left in limbo. I hope you re, enjoy, and review. Thank you!

Damon and Bonnie had made good time. Their first stop had been to Sheila’s home to pick up some things Bonnie had said she had to have. Then they went to the Grille to put in their lunch order, which they had been told would be ready in 30 to 45 minutes. Now, they stood in the brand new retro record shop Damon had steered them into. He had said this would be an educational trip as Bonnie’s taste in music needed a lot of help. Bonnie had first been offended and defensive and almost challenged his knowledge of her taste in music, but then remembered they were in the Twilight Zone where he apparently knew her quite well, and so she shrugged and followed him into the store. From the second they crossed the threshold she had enjoyed the scene before her; Damon bumping and grinding enthusiastically to the song the blasted throughout the rather large store. She had been pleasantly surprised to discover the elder Salvatore had incredible rhythm and was not ashamed to show it off. He grasped her hand, twirled her, dipped her, and then just as quickly released her again as he moved to a rack of vinyl records that lined the wall. Bonnie laughed out loud at his gesture and as she shook her head and moved to the isle marked ‘The 80s’ which was her favorite genre of music. As was usually the case, Bonnie found the hidden gems on the very bottom rack. As she began to squat down, she felt herself bump into something. She shot up and turned quickly and locked her green eyes onto sea blue eyes. She was taken aback for a second as she took in the man before her with a beautiful smile on his face. He was striking and looked to be no more than 17.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to bump into you,” He spoke first and his voice shook Bonnie from her moment of reverie.

“No, I should be the one to apologize,” She countered as she coyly ducked her head and tucked her hair behind her right ear. “I really wasn’t watching where I was going. So, I’m sorry.”

“No, I can’t accept your apology,” He replied as the charming smile never left his face. Bonnie gazed up at him in slight confusion. “A beautiful lady should never have to apologize for anything and you are very beautiful, Bonnie,” He spoke genuinely and she couldn’t stop the blush to her cheeks or smile that spread across her face.

“Thank you,” Bonnie responded so enthralled by the handsome boy’s attention that she hadn’t noticed his familiarity with her name.

“How about you let me take you out sometimes as my way of saying sorry for bumping into you?” He offered and she giggled a little.

“But I bumped into you, remember.”

“Fine, then how about I let you take me out as an apology.”

“Or how 'bout I rip your heart out and eat it,” Damon’s voice cut in and two sets of annoyed eyes looked over to where he stood at the end of the aisle. The man was annoyed by the interruption, and Bonnie because she thought Damon was purposely being rude due to jealousy. Damon stood still as he knew he could flash to Bonnie to protect her if necessary. He knew Sheila had said the charmed ring she had given Bonnie would block spells from being cast around Bonnie, but he wasn’t about to bet her life on it.

“My God, you are a major cock block? Hello, Damon,” The boy smirked as he lifted his hand and wiggled his fingers at the vampire, who glared back at him with blackened eyes.

“And you are a major pain in the ass, Kai,” Damon growled back at the younger man and caused Bonnie to gasp and stumble back a bit, “Don’t move Bonnie,” He ordered and she instantly stilled herself as she locked large frightened eyes onto the boy in front of her. “He’s not going to hurt you, I promise you.”

“Oh no, no,” Kai spoke softly as he turned kind and remorseful eyes onto Bonnie and lifted his hands as if in surrender. “I’m not here to hurt you, Bonnie. I would never hurt you,” He assured. “Well … at least not this time. I know before there was the stabbing you over and over and over again. But that’s not who I am anymore, I’ve changed. And it’s because of you, Bonnie,” He added as he tossed her his most charming smile and her face looked horrified by what he had said as Damon’s face held a look of disgust. Damon’s mind recalled the time Bonnie made him feel the things that Kai had done to her, how Kai had hurt her when she was locked with him in his prison world. “I came here, in this time to meet you before all of those bad things even occurred. I wanted you to get to know me, the new me, without anything getting in the way. Unfortunately, I didn’t anticipate the slight hiccup in my spell, because you weren’t supposed to remember me,” He directed this to Damon. “I’m still not sure how the memories of your future self got sent back. I don’t know, maybe subconsciously I want to prove to you too that I’ve changed. You and I, we’re the same-”

“We are not the same,” Damon spat back at the younger man as his anger flared to the implication.

“Yes, we are,” Kai repeated. “We were both big baddies once upon a time, and we didn’t give a damn about who we hurt to accomplish our goals,” He continued and Damon had to swallow the lump that was forming in his throat. “That is until we met Miss Bonnie Bennett here,” He then graced Bonnie with a sweet smile as she stood still frightened by him being so close and even more so by what he was claiming. Was she somehow attracting evil beings into her life? “There is just something about you, Bonnie, that makes us both want to be better men. And I am better now, and I just want to prove it to you and make amends for how I’ve wronged you in the past … Uhm, I guess that would be your future.”

“Yeah, I’ve heard that from you before,” Damon replied as he now casually strolled to where Kai and Bonnie stood. “It didn’t end so well the last time,” Once he stood right beside Bonnie he reached out and gently grasped her arm and he could feel her sigh with relief.

“I know, fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me, right?” Kai said with a playful smile which quickly faded when Damon and Bonnie looked unamused. “Seriously, I have changed and I will prove it to you-”

“You’ve already proven that you haven’t changed,” Damon interjected. “You broke free from the prison world Bonnie locked you in and what do you do, you kill to gain power to cast a spell. And why bother? You were free, why not just try to live a happy, 'normal’ life? Why do you keep bothering Bonnie?”

“Because she’s the only person I feel sorry for hurting,” Kai answered honestly in a raised voice. “The only person I have ever felt anything for,” He looked at Bonnie as he said this, and her heart went out to him a little as she could see he was telling them a very hard and painful truth. “You might think that having no feelings is an easy thing, and hell, once upon a time I did too. Then, I felt for the first time …” He looked at the floor and paused a second as if he were trying to find the right words to properly articulate his thoughts. “You make me 'feel’,” He again shot his eyes to Bonnie. “And I like it and I just don’t want to give that up. And, wow, that sounds kind of creepy doesn’t it?” He asked out loud as he played his last word back in his head.

“Majorly,” Bonnie spoke as she nodded her head slightly.

“Can you undo this do-over spell?” Damon cut him off not caring at all about Kai’s heartfelt confession. His query was more to satisfy his own curiosity about whether this reliving the past might be all dependent on Kai’s whim.

“No, to cast this spell took some pretty unique ingredients, one so rare that there was only one of it’s kind. I’m talking in all the worlds across all time and space, just one, but I found it and it nearly killed me. So, this is a one-way trip. And totally worth it to make amends with you two, my only friends.”

“We are not your friends,” Damon stated. “You’re an evil, sadistic little prick,” He continued and could see his harsh words, which he hoped would get Kai to show his true colors was working, as Kai’s eyes darkened and his jaws clenched.

“If you’d just give me a chance—”

“A chance to what?” Damon hissed at him around a humorless chuckle. “Do you really think that given time I’ll forget and forgive what you did to Bonnie? What you did to me, Elena, Alaric, and Jo? You killed your own twin sister who was pregnant at the time, and then rewound time and killed her again.”

“Well, you killed your nephew’s pregnant wife, so, you know, pot meet kettle,” Kai shot back at him.

“Oh my God!” Bonnie gasped out her face frowned up in horror and disgust at what she was hearing.

“No, it wasn’t like that,” Kai replied in a panicked voice as he thought of something to say to defend himself to Bonnie.

“Yes, it was exactly like that and just like before,” Damon countered. He knew what Kai had just told about him was going to have an effect on his and Bonnie’s newfound relationship, but he would have to deal with that once they were clear of this present danger. “You are power-hungry but you are not powerful enough, never have been. That’s why you murdered your sister not once but twice because you wanted her power. And this obsession you have with Bonnie, it’s about getting her power too, isn’t it?”

“What!? No, that’s not true,” Kai denied as he vehemently shook his head. “I lo … care about Bonnie.”

“It’s all right, you can say you love her. I already told her that that’s why you’re here stalking her,” Damon stated and Kai looked stunned. “I know that in that fucked up head of yours, you truly believe that what you 'feel’ for Bonnie is love, but it really isn’t. What you 'feel’, Kai, is all that powerful magic Bonnie possesses and you want it for yourself,” Kai frowned up a bit as he thought about what Damon was saying. “But you’re never ever gonna get it because this time I’m going to make sure you’re dead,” Damon reached for Kai’s chest with the intention to rip out his heart, but his hand struck an invisible wall. “Oww!” He yelped as he yanked his broken hand back and cradled it to his chest.

“Sorry about that,” Kai said around a smirk. “Just a little precautionary spell I did before I came out today. Just in case I ran into you, Killer.” He remarked as he held up his hand and wiggled his finger to display the charmed ring he also wore. Damon sneered back at him as he stretched his hand and popped the fast-mending bones back into place. “And I see you’ve got your own spell that is keeping me from exploding your head right now. What is it, hmmm? Something to stop any witch from casting a spell on or around you? Man, that’s a big spell and it would take a lot of energy to make. Bet it won’t last long either,” His words made Damon instinctively look at his watch.

“We gotta go, Bon-Bon,” Damon announced as he gently grasped her arm and moved them to the exit. Kai remained in his spot as he watched them leave.

“Don’t worry, Bonnie, I’ll take a raincheck on our apology date,” He called out to her as he smiled and waved at her. She paused at the door and looked back at him as if he had lost his mind, then Damon ushered her across the threshold.

Once they were outside Damon yanked Bonnie closer, until her chest was pressed to his. Before she could protest or question his actions, he had flashed them to his Camaro.

“I’m sorry, but we really need to go,” He tossed out as an explanation as he opened the passenger side door and held it for her to get in. She hesitated not sure that after what she had heard she should be around Damon. “Look Bonnie, I know what Kai said is bothering you—”

“Did you really kill a pregnant woman carrying your own bloodline?” She cut him off. Her question was posed in a tone that told Damon she already knew the answer.

“Yes, but that was back when I was …”

“Evil, heartless, uncaring?” Bonnie offered.

“Yes, to all of the above, but it was a long time ago.”

“No, actually it was a week ago for me,” She replied in a low voice as she dropped her eyes and began to pull at her bottom lip.

“Bonnie now is not the time to hash this out,” Damon said. “We have less than an hour before the spell in that ring on your pretty little finger runs out. Then you will be vulnerable to Kai. We need to go, please,” He coaxed and she silently nodded and got into his car.

The drive back had been too silent for Damon and too long for Bonnie. When they returned back to the boardinghouse Bonnie had gone straight to her room while Damon when to find Sheila and Stefan to let them know about Kai. Bonnie had stayed up in her room for nearly two hours before her first visitor ventured up to check on her.

“Hey,” A voice and small knock came from the other side of the closed door. “Bonnie, may I come in?”

“Yeah,” Bonnie called back and the door opened a little. Elena stuck her head inside first as if she needed to test if she were really welcomed, “Hey,” Bonnie greeted with a sad smile. Elena smiled back as she entered and shut the door behind her.

“Hey, Damon told us about your run-in with this Kai guy,” Elena said as she moved to the massive bed where Bonnie sat with her legs crossed. She climbed up on the bed. “Are you okay? God, that must have been scary.”

“Terrifying,” Bonnie admitted as she hugged herself.

“I bet. But at least now you’ve seen the monster and you know what to look for,” Elena said hoping to give her some kind of comfort.

“No, he just made me confused even more,” Bonnie stated as she shook her head and caused Elena to stare at her baffled.

“What do you mean?”

“He looked normal,” Bonnie continued. “In fact, before Damon told me who he was he and I were flirting, even sort of planning a date,” Bonnie replied as she laughed a little as she thought on it.

“What?” Elena responded as she too giggled at what she was hearing. “So, was he … cute?” She probed as she scooted up beside Bonnie.

“Very,” She replied with a nod. “With dreamy blue eyes, a seductive, charming smile, and a cockiness that kind of pulls you in.”

“Wow, that sounds just like …” Elena started but quickly ended her words.

“Like Damon, yeah I know,” Bonnie finished for her. “Turns out this Kai and Damon have a lot of things in common, like murdering pregnant women who are related to them.”

“Oh my God! WHAT?” Elena yelped out as her eyes bulged a bit and she bolted upright more to regard Bonnie, who simply nodded her head back in reply.

“They both spilled the beans on each other and when I asked Damon about it later, he admitted that he did it. I don’t know why I’m surprised, I mean, he tried to kill me mere days ago,” Bonnie said this as she subconsciously rubbed her hands up her arms. “It was stupid of me to ever start trusting him and start to have…” Bonnie shook her head not allowing herself to voice what she had been feeling.

“Stefan told me a while back that I need to avoid Damon that he’s bad news,” Elena interjected appearing to not even notice Bonnie’s Freudian slip. “But there is just something about him that makes me feel like he has good in him. But after what I saw him do to you and after just hearing that he murdered a pregnant relative. I don’t want to even be around him at all right now.”

“Neither do I,” Bonnie concurred. “Which is why I’ve been hiding out in here since we got back,” She added as a knock came on the door seconds before it opened.

“Elena, would you mind if I have a chat with Bonnie, please?” Sheila asked as she entered the room.

“Sure,” Elena nodded as she hurriedly moved from the bed and left the room, closing the door behind her.

“Grams, I know what you’re gonna say,” Bonnie began as Sheila made her way to the side of the bed Bonnie was closest to, and she sat down upon it. “But I don’t want to hear how I can trust Damon, not right now. Not after…” She paused, took a deep breath, and raked her fingers through her hair. “Do you know what he did?”

“Babygirl, he’s a vampire, and he’s done a lot of bad things. Killing is in his nature. And once upon a time his humanity was off and with that switched off vampires don’t have a care in the world.”

“Wait, are you making excuses for him?” Bonnie questioned as she looked at her grandmother in disbelief.

“No, I am actually repeating some things 'you’ once said when you were making excuses for Damon,” Sheila replied with a smirk.

“No way,” Bonnie said as she shook her head in denial.

“I know it’s hard for you to believe, but it’s true. Like I told you before, even after I died, I was 'always’ with you Bonnie, watching over you. So, I was privy to everything that went down between you and Damon. Even things you said about Damon when you thought you were alone.” Sheila shared as she reached out and grasped her granddaughter’s hand. “It occurred to me last night that things would be a whole lot easier, in the grand scheme of things, if you could trust and believe all that we have told you these past few days.”

“I’m sorry Grams, it’s just really hard for me to forget all that Damon has done since I’ve met him. I have tried to be more trusting. I even started too but …. After hearing what he did to his nephew’s wife. If he could kill his own unborn niece or nephew, how can I be expected to trust him with my life and with your life?”

“I know it’s hard for you baby, I do. But don’t you be worrying about me. You know your Grams can take care of herself. Damon Salvatore knows better than to mess with me,” Sheila said jokingly but meant every word of it. “But it’s not just Damon, if you had all the memories of your future self, from the future that Stefan, Damon, and I came from, you’d also have your full powers from that time as well.”

“Is that possible?” Bonnie asked wide-eyed.

“I wasn’t sure, so when you all went into town, I went to visit our ancestors at the witch’s house to get some advice from them.”

“And what did they say?”

“They told me a spell that would help,” Sheila said as she held out a small vial that housed an amber liquid that looked to Bonnie like it was glowing. Sheila held it out to her, and Bonnie took it in hand. Bonnie held it up at eye level and twirled it a little in her hand. “You drink that, and you’ll have all the memories of the things we’ve told you about and more,” Bonnie noticed the doubtful look that shimmered across her grandmother’s face for just a split second.

“You’re worried about me taking this aren’t you?” Bonnie asked.

“It is perfectly safe, Bonnie.”

“Well, I know that, Grams,” Bonnie tsked as she rolled her eyes a little. “I know you’d never give me something that would harm me, but I can see the worry in your eyes. What are you not telling me?” Sheila smiled a little as she nodded, it had always made her so proud and sometimes annoyed by how intuitive and perspective Bonnie always was, even as a very young child.

“When you take that and start remembering things you technically haven’t even done yet, things that now you don’t even have to experience … Bonnie, it will change you. And I am just not sure if I want that for you. Helplessly watching you go through those things the first time around was devastating for me, because I couldn’t help you with a lot of it. Now, I can do something, I can shelter you from it, I can change the outcome for you.”

“Did those things that happened, will happen … would have happened, does it change me for the worse? Did I turn evil or something like that?” Bonnie asked as she eyed the vial wearily.

“No, baby, it made you more resilient and helped turn you into a very powerful witch,” Sheila replied with a proud smile. “But it came at a great loss to you.”

“Like what, what did I lose?”

“True love, happiness, a family of your own, and even your life a couple of times,” Sheila answered truthfully. “The day you met the Salvatore brothers and entered this house,” She paused to look around the room. “Your life changed and for the most part, it was not for the better. You know what,” Sheila shook her head, stood from the bed, and held out her hand. “Give that back, we’re going to do things differently this time. I am not going to let you experience that life again. Not this time. This time I want you to find love and happiness. I want you to get married and give me some great-grandbabies.”

“Okay, so what’s the plan that will ensure that that happens for me?” Bonnie questioned as she gripped the vial more tightly instead of handing it back to her grandmother who still held out her hand for it. “I have this scary guy who’s out to get me, and he’s way more powerful than I am. And you just told me that this,” She lifted the vial a little. “Can help me to not only fight him but possibly defeat him. I don’t think we have much of a choice. This seems to be the only thing we have that can help me to get that life you want for me.”

“We can find some other way, baby.”

“Grams, you asked our ancestors for help and they gave you this. You know as well as I do that this is the only way. So, bottoms up,” Bonnie said as she opened the vial and quickly drank down the liquid inside. Both she and Sheila held their breaths as they waited for something to happen. It took a couple of moments of silence before Sheila cut in.

“Do you remember anything … new?”

“No, at least none of the things you told me would happen,” Bonnie replied and then suddenly grasped the sides of her head in both of her hands. Her brows bunched and her mouth fell open to let out a groan. “Oh God, my head. It feels like it’s going to explode,” She cried out as her grandmother moved to her side and locked her arms around her, and settled her back against the pillows. “Grams…” She called out and she gripped at her grandmother as a great fear filled her. She couldn’t get out more before darkness consumed her and she fell unconscious.

More to come…

“We can’t stay here forever, Stefan,” Elena declared just as Bonnie had entered the room having come downstairs for breakfast. She quickly scanned the room to find her grandmother standing at the large island sipping coffee while Stefan and Elena were seated at the kitchen table having a discussion.

“It won’t be forever, just until we can find Kai and eliminate his threat,” Stefan said.

“And how long will that be, huh? And doesn’t that require leaving here and going out to look for him?” Elena countered as Bonnie moved to the island and took the glass of orange juice her grandmother held out for her. Sheila Bennett then turned, moved to the stove, grasped the plate of food she had prepared, and then turned back and slid it over to Bonnie.

“Damon and I will go out and look for Kai. There’s no reason for you or Bonnie to be out and in possible danger.”

“Why are you so sure this Kai guy will use me as leverage.”

“Because he’s done that before.”

“So, who’s to say he won’t use Jeremy or Caroline or Matt, instead?” Elena continued.

“Because they don’t matter,” Damon was the one to answer as he breezed into the room, and Bonnie shot her eyes up to look at him as he made his way to the fridge. When he sent her a quick wink as he passed, she just as quickly dropped her eyes back to her plate of food.

“They all matter to me, Damon,” Elena spat at him venomously.

“But not to me,” He replied as he pulled a bag of blood from the fridge and began to pour it into a mug to heat up. “You’re only in danger now because before Kai knew that I loved you. He knew that besides my brother and Bonnie, you were the only other person I really cared about. More than anything he wants to torment me. That’s why he tied your life to Bonnie’s. He used a spell that would make you sleep for as long as Bonnie was alive.”

“Oh my God, are you serious?” Bonnie exclaimed and her fears grew over this warlock who was after her.

“Yeah, it’s true,” Stefan confirmed.

“So, he probably mistakenly still thinks the same rule will apply,” Damon continued. “That my old obsession with you would make you the perfect pawn to hurt me. Add to that he knows how selfless Bonnies is when it comes to the people she cares about. That makes you an asset to Kai, which puts your life in danger. But hey, if you want to leave and risk Kai snatching you up to dangle as bait, that’ll probably make it easier for us to find him. So, go right ahead. You know where the door is.”

“Damon,” Stefan chastised his cold manners.

“What?” Damon replied in a snappy tone as he scowled at his younger sibling. “We don’t have time for the ‘what about me’ Elena Gilbert show. We’ve told her there’s some witchy dude running around out there hunting Bonnie, and he will likely use her to try to lure us out, and she still wants to leave. So, let her go. I’m not going to waste any more breaths or energy convincing her to stay, but I can promise you, I won’t be running in to save you once he has you,” He spoke this directly to a stunned Elena, who stood gaping at him. He then turned to Bonnie, “And I won’t allow you to either, and I don’t care if I have to chain you down in the basement. I will do just that to keep you safe.” They all stood silent, Bonnie because her fears were growing, Elena because her feeling was hurt by Damon’s callous words, Stefan because he silently agreed with Damon’s stance, and Sheila because she found the scene somewhat entertaining.

“If I may interject,” Sheila finally spoke out. “If Elena wants to leave, she can 'safely’ do so, and you can too babygirl,” She said to Bonnie as she lifted her confused eyes up to her Grandmother’s face, as she stood smiling back at her.

“But How, I thought we agreed it was safest for you all to stay here,” Stefan questioned.

“And I still believe it is,” Sheila replied as she nodded her head slightly. “We’ll still stay here but I’ve worked out a new protection spell. It’s sort of a mix of different protections spells I know. Basically, it won’t allow for any magic to be done against you nor any injuries.”

“And what’s the 'but’?” Damon asked as he regarded the elder Bennett in the room. He knew better to ever question Sheila’s skills as a witch, but knew there had to be a catch otherwise she would have mentioned this before now.

“But … it’ll wear off after a short time.”

“How short of a time?” Bonnie asked.

“You’ll only have 4 hours and the clock will start the second you put on this ring. It’s 8 am now, so if you were to put it on now, you’d have until noon, during which time Kai won’t be able to harm you magically or otherwise. The spell will automatically restart at the same time every day unless you reset it. The only way to reset it is from within this house, where the spell was cast. Once you’ve used the ring for the day you simply take it off that night and then put it back on the next day at whatever time you want to use it, before you go out,” Sheila replied as she held out a small ring which had a beautiful violet crystal encased in it. Bonnie took the ring and examined it closely. Sheila them held out the other ring she had made to Elena, who took it with a happy thank you. “I didn’t want to try to push it for more time because when you put that ring on it’s going to block your magic too, Bonnie. There’s no way for me to block just Kai’s magic. I mean, there are counterspells for spells but I’d have to know ahead of time what spell he might use against you. And that’s just not possible, so I had to be general and just make it block all kinds of magic. I know it’s not a lot of time, but I figured it will allow you girls time to go out instead of being cooped up in here 24/7 driving me crazy.”

“It’s great, thank you, Sheila. I really want to check on my Aunt Jenna and Jeremy,” Elena spoke this as she pushed the ring onto her finger. “Do you think you could take me?” She then turned to Stefan with wide pleading eyes.

“Of course, we can go whenever you’d like,” He offered and she hurriedly nodded in agreement. He then turned to Bonnie, “Did you want to go too, Bonnie?”

“I’ll take her anywhere she wants to go,” Damon quickly cut in.

“I have no one I need to see,” Bonnie replied. “Grams is here with me, and my dad is out of town on business. So, I’ll just stay here.”

“Well, why don’t you and I go to the grille and grab some lunch for everyone,” Damon suggested.

“Yes please, I have been craving one of their juicy cheeseburgers and fries,” Sheila said as a push as she could see that Bonnie was reluctant.

“But we haven’t even finished eating breakfast yet,” Bonnie stated.

“We’ve got four hours; we’ll just hang out in town and waste time for a couple of hours. Then we’ll stop by the Grille. It’ll be lunchtime by the time we get back,” Damon countered but he could see Bonnie was still unconvinced.

“Bonnie,” Her grandmother’s gentle voice pulled her in and she locked eyes with her. “I promise you that Kai can’t hurt you in any way while you have that ring on. And don’t forget you have your very own personal vampire bodyguard,” This caused Bonnie to move her eyes to look at Damon who just waggled his brows at her in reply.

“Okay,” Bonnie conceded with a nod of her head. “Do you think we can stop by Grams on the way? There are a couple of things I’d like to get since it looks like we are going to be staying here for a bit.”

“Sure,” Damon nodded.

“Maybe we should all go together,” Elena spoke out.

“Why?” Damon posed this question as he sighed slightly and looked over at the petite brunette. “You have the protection ring and a vampire bodyguard of your very own. You’ll be fine.”

“I’m not worried about my safety with Stefan, but you did try to kill Bonnie just a few days ago,” She nearly spat out in reply.

“Oh, 'that’s’ the reason you don’t want me to be alone with Bonnie?” Damon chuckled a little though the hard glare he shot her spoke to his true annoyance.

“Of course, it is,” Elena replied. “Contrary to what you might believe Damon, and in spite of the horrible person you say I became. This version of me, right now, I love Bonnie. She’s like a sister to me and I don’t want to see her hurt. And sorry, I’m just not fully convinced yet that you aren’t a danger to her,” Damon regarded her for a second and he could see that she meant what she said. Even in their lives 'before’ he knew Elena truly loved Bonnie like a sister and would never wish her any kind of harm.

“Fine,” Damon grumbled out, “Bonnie, would you feel safer if we all went together?” He posed as he looked directly to Bonnie.

“No, it’s fine,” She answered and Elena shot her a hurt and concerned look. “Really, Elena, I’ll be okay with Damon. I trust and believe my Grams when she says he will keep me safe,” She added on and Damon felt slightly hurt by the implication that it was only Sheila’s word that had convinced her, as he had thought in the past couple of days, he had convinced her he wouldn’t hurt her.

“Wonderful,” Damon responded with false excitement as he dramatically raised his hands to his chest and clasped them together. “Now, that that’s settled, let’s go before I change my mind,” The annoyance fell upon his face again as he turned and walked out of the kitchen without another word. Bonnie shot the others a nervous look and then hurried out after him. She caught up with him outside at his Camaro. She got in and Damon sped off even before allowing her to buckle up. She struggled a second to get her bearings and finally clicked in the seatbelt.

“I trust you Damon and I believe … I know you wouldn’t hurt me,” Bonnie told him and then noticed how the tight grip, he had on the steering wheel lessened and his knuckles relaxed. “I couldn’t tell Elena that because I know she would have made a big deal about it, and would want to debate with me about it. And to her defense, she was there last week when you attacked me. I don’t even really remember it but the way she described it to me, it really terrified her,” Damon simply nodded to this but Bonnie could see just by the way his jaw twitched that he was not appeased. “You know, it’s kind of weird to see you act so abrasive towards Elena. Usually, you handle her with such care and adoration even. Now, you act as if you despise the sight of her. And I get it, I mean, in the future she cheated on you and then lied to you about your daughter. But you said that you forgave her.”

“Yeah I did, but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t pissed off about it or that a part of me didn’t hate her for it,” Damon stated as he kept his eyes locked onto the road.

“Yeah, I get that, but it seems like there’s more to it than that and if you ever want to talk about it, I’d listen,” Bonnie said and he looked over at her in awe as if she were some mystical or mythical being, which she misread as him being annoyed and begin to backtrack, “Only if you want to.”

“Fuck, why do you always have to be like that? Why do you even care?” He mumbled the last bit to himself but she still heard him. She couldn’t understand what she had said that had seemingly upset him.

“I’m sorry,” She began to speak but then she jerked forward a bit when Damon suddenly pulled the car to the side of the road, parked it, and turned to face her.

“Don’t apologize to me, never apologize to me,” He snapped and she frowned up and tears pricked at her eyes as a sad feeling started to fill her. It seemed to her that Damon was rejecting her in some way and it actually hurt her feelings. At this moment she wished they had gone with Stefan and Elena, and she shot a quick glance at the passenger side window to see if they were on the road behind them yet. Damon could see she was now upset and knew he was the reason. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and bowed his head a bit. “I’m sorry if I’ve upset you, Bon-Bon. I’m not mad at you. Hell, I’m not even mad at Elena. I’m mad at myself for being so stupid. Being back here at this time and getting a redo on this part of my past life is turning out to be a drag.”

“Why?”

“Because I have the clarity to see situations and people in a better light. I was a real jackass and absolute fool the first time around. And it really sucks to know what I could have had when compared to what I ended up with.”

“I’m sorry, Damon,” Bonnie spoke softly to him. “But it’s like you said you get to do it over, and this time you can do it differently,” Damon nodded to this as he subconsciously studied her face and features.

“Thank you,” He spoke kindly in a softened voice.

“For what?” She asked back.

“For always being my solace,” He answered with a slight smile that she copied. “And you’re right. Instead of dwelling on the past, which was technically an alternate future, I should focus on doing it right this time around.”

“Right, that’s the spirit,” Bonnie said as he smiled more broadly at her.

“Would you mind if I kissed you?” He asked completely change the air in the space and caused Bonnie’s throat to tighten a little. And she instantly felt herself start to perspire. “I’m not asking your permission to kiss you,” He clarified, and she was relieved and disappointed all at once. “I’m just wondering if it would bother you if I did lean over and kissed you right now. I know for sure had I kissed you on this day back in my alternate past you would have torched me, no doubt. Because I terrorized you and terrified you and you hated me for it. But on this day in this new alternate past, would it bother you?”

“Had you asked me that two days ago…” She tossed out around a nervous smile.

“I know, but I’m asking you about right now at this moment,” He replied.

“No,” She finally responded and could see he misunderstood and so she continued, “It wouldn’t bother me if you kissed me. In fact, I wish you would kiss me, and that’s what bothers me and it scares me.”

“You don’t have to be afraid, Bonnie,” Damon stated as he reached up his right hand and cupped her left cheek.

“Of course, I do, Damon,” She scoffed at him a little but she didn’t rebuff or recoil from his touch. “Three days ago, I was working on 'how to kill Damon Salvatore’ spells,” He chuckled at this knowledge as he dropped his hand from her face. “You laugh but I’m dead serious,” She said giggling a little at his merriment.

“I know and you once told me that you had even made a Damon voodoo doll too,” He said as he continued his chuckles.

“Yeah, I did, but I just hated you so much and wanted you to leave me and my friends alone, but now …” She ducked her head a little and dropped her eyes from his soul-searching stare. “Now my fantasies about you have changed virtually overnight from homicidal to … sexual,” She pushed out the last word very low as if she were afraid that someone else could have heard her. When she braved a glance up at Damon the lustful look in his eyes sent a jolt through her and made her squeak out her next words, “Which makes me believe that you lied to me about that compulsion thing you told me about. I mean, that’s the only thing that could explain this craziness,” She said and giggled nervously as she reached up to tuck a loose lock of hair behind her ears, to no avail as when she bowed her head again it fell back down and obscured her face. Damon smiled and lifted her hand to her hair and moved the hair back from her face once more. He continued his grooming as she brushed her tresses back from her shoulder to settle at her back. This exposed her beautiful slender neck to him.

“We can’t compel witches, sorry but you can’t use that as an excuse for this,” He spoke this as he rubbed his thumb in small circled along her neck while he slowly leaned closer to her.

“And what is this exactly, Damon?”

“Whatever you want it to be, Bonnie,” He replied. “Just tell me what you want. We’re the only ones here, you don’t have to be afraid to speak exactly what’s on your mind or tell me what you want. So, what do you want?”

“I want you to do things I shouldn’t want 'you’ to do,” She replied honestly, and as if she had flipped a switch the sexual tension between them ended and Damon released her and turned back forward in the driver’s seat. He put the car back in drive, pulled back onto the road, and drove back down the highway. Bonnie sat silent and baffled for a moment before she spoke again, “Did I say something wrong?” She looked over at him and his face held no anger.

“No, you have not done anything wrong, Bon-Bon,” Damon turned slightly and graced her with a charming smile. “I’m just not going to do something impulsive with you, something you are not ready for and would definitely regret later. I’ve been there and done that too many times I care to remember, and it had never ended well for me. I want you I think I’ve made that quite clear. But you know what?”

“What?” She replied her interest piqued.

“I want you to want me back. This time I am not going to pine for or chase any woman who doesn’t really want me. I know you are not the type to play mind games or string anyone along. It might take you some time to know what it is that you really want, but once you do you will let me know. And I’ll wait. I’ve got all the time in the world, and you’re worth the wait, Miss Bennett,” He shot her a quick wink as he said that and she blushed and smiled back.

“And what if I can’t tell you what you want to hear?”

“Then I’ll lick my wounds and move on.”

“You’ll leave?” She didn’t add on the 'me’ that almost slipped out.

“Not literally, no,” He answered and smirked a little when he heard her let out a sigh of relief. “I was being dramatic earlier when I said I’d leave Mystic falls if you asked me to. I won’t ever leave you, Bon-Bon. Even if you told me to go away and leave you alone, I wouldn’t actually leave you. I wouldn’t interfere in your life and you’d probably never 'see’ me around you, but I’d never be too far away. I lied earlier because I know that might sound scary-”

“No,” Bonnie quickly interjected as she shook her head a little and actually thought about it. “It’s not scary, it’s comforting. You don’t have to be here right now helping me. Lord knows I haven’t been the nicest to you these past couple of days. I do appreciate you and Stefan both for helping us, and I am glad you’re here. And I haven’t said it yet but thank you, Damon.”

“You don’t have to thank me. I am here and will do whatever I have to do to keep you safe. And I do it because I had a revelation many, many years ago during a moment when I thought about letting you get hit by a truck so Elena would wake up.”

“Uhh, what!?” She turned to him horrorstruck by what he had said.

“Relax, it was just a three-second fleeting thought,”

“Do you know how long three seconds is in a life and death situation?” She asked and he looked at her with a big brilliant smile on his face, which made her a bit mad. “You think it’s funny?”

“No, it’s just that we’ve had this conversation before and you said that exact same thing.”

“Oh, and what was your answer?” She countered as she crossed her arms against her chest in a defensive manner.

“I told you the truth, that I would never have allowed you to be harmed because at that moment I realize how much I really loved you and how engrained you were in my thoughts and feelings. I knew then just as I know right now if anything ever happened to you, I’d lose my mind.”

“Good answer,” She replied as she turned to look out the window and hide the smile on her lips. Not realizing he could see her reflection in the passenger-side mirror, and a smile played upon his lips as they drove the rest of the way in silence.
