Bookstagram 101: Embrace Ebooks — 5 tips for taking photos of your e-reader for bookstagram (or booklr)

Even though quite a number of us read ebooks, I don’t often see e-readers on my Tumblr dashboard or Instagram feed. I think that’s sad. Why exclude a format if it’s part of our reading lives?

I know for some, the difficulty lies in photographing them. That’s why I shared these tips on wordrevel.com.

The Twelve Days of Dash and Lily by Rachel Cohn & David Levithan

Rating: 2/5 stars
Initial thoughts: This book does not live up to the preceding Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares. While I appreciate the bid not to make out their romance to be perfect and full of roses, that’s not exactly what I signed up for. Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares is one of the rare books I like precisely because it’s cute (without being overbearing). Sadly, I can’t say the same of The Twelve Days of Dash & Lily.

(of the extinct) Can their stories and songs be heard by the living, they wonder. Do they acknowledge their legacy in the fossils?

I picked it up as a re-read along with mexican gothic, mostly because it’s my comfort book. It’s beautiful, I don’t think I even have the words to really describe it. It has a lyrical prose that has you travel through the Andamans, Myanmar, Nepal and a no-man’s land hidden away between India and Pakistan, and through time. If you want something that’s slow and comforting, I’d recommend it.
