i know that the boys’ three of cups tattoos are staggered like that for design reasons but i can’t help but hope it’s also to do with their descending heights. as evidence:

my theory is that it’s for the three of cups- during the ratboys’ halloween telethon last year, lucy dacus talked about tarot and said that the three of cups is her favorite card, because it’s about how friendship is the highest form of love!
