When a friend recommended this, I really wasn’t too high on reading it. Sounded schmaltzy and a tad boring. I’m a sucker for good YA/Fantasy reading (hello SJM fandom!), That’s my wheelhouse.
For whatever reason, I picked this up a week ago, and I couldn’t have been more surprised. I loved this book. I read it in one sitting, because I could not put it down. The journey in this book is beautiful and heart wrenching at the same time. The then and now story telling keeps you wanting more. Elliot and Macy are really endearing characters that jump off the page. Trying to figure out what happened between these two is part of why I loved this story. There are few secondary characters, but Sabrina is fantastic. You’ll want to have a friend that cares that much. I wouldn’t give it 5 stars, because the end happens so quickly. I felt like we just needed more time with the characters. It’s a great end, but just rushed perhaps? I can’t wait to read it again!! I also see movie or limited tv series all over this. If you’re looking for maybe a new read, I would highly recommend this.

Christina Lauren, Beautiful Stranger
“I want to be here to bring you coffee. I want to take you out to dinner and order the same food and hear you recite the odds that we would have met. I want to hate-attend fancy social events together. I want you to call me for help—without an apology already on the tip of your tongue. I want to feel like I can kiss you again by your car at the end of the night… I want you in my bed.”

There was a long time (about 4 years, while I was in university) that I really didn’t keep track of book releases, because I knew I wouldn’t have time to read many new books in between readings for class, and it stressed me out to see all the new things that I wanted to read but couldn’t. But now that I’ve graduated, I think it’s time for me to start keeping track of new releases and doing my…
