Thiscrazy quilt was made by my wife in 3–4 days, it is on the floor in our toilets. Every time I’m sorry to step on it ))
Bad news: my daughter got sick this evening (ARVI?..)
She has a fever. She is 9 years old, I think she contracted a virus in the school (There, half the class is sick.) (( We know what to do in this situation.
The Justice League is dead – or missing – and some villains are using it as an excuse to rampage, while others like Len seem to want to stay out of it. DC’s not doing a great job with continuity at the moment, as both Len and Girder are currently in Iron Heights (Wolfe told Blacksmith to fetch Len at the end of the last Flash issue, and of course she turned Girder into a giant ball) but free in other books…I guess that’s one of those things we’re not supposed to think too hard about, but it could easily be solved by using different Rogues. That’d spread the spotlight around and avoid continuity awkwardness.
It does seem like Len’s back to normal after his Santa stint in Year of the Villain, so that’s good to see.
I decided to go full improvised piecing on this, so made a whole bunch of half-rectangle blocks and stuck them up on my design wall. Then, I just started adding in pieces around it until I started coming up with a composition that I liked.
The result was a bit crazy - I felt it was like a whirlwind, or “maelstrom,” so that’s what I called it! I think I finished the quilt top with only hours to spare before the challenge deadline! It is about 60″ x 70″- about a large throw size.
It was a super fun project to put together. This was improv on a bigger scale than I’ve done before, which was really great!
