Materials:
- 200 yards worsted weight yarn (4) I used Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice Yarn in Silver Heather (you can buy it here —> Vanna’s Choice Silver Heather )
- crochet hook size J 6.00 MM
- yarn needle ( to weave in ends)
- scissors
Abbreviations:
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
dc = double crochet
sl st = slip stitch
Pattern:
Round 1 : ch 3, 12 dc’s in 3rd ch from hook, sl st to top of first dc. (12)
Round 2: ch 1, starting in 2nd ch from the hook do 2 sc’s in every chain around. sl st to top of first sc. (24)
Round 3: ch 3, starting in 4th ch from the hook do *2 dc’s, sl st in next ch, repeat from * around, sl st to top of first dc. (36)
Round 4: ch 1, (working in back loops only this round) starting in 2nd ch from hook, *hdc, hdc in next ch, ch 2, skipping the sl st throughout, repeat from * around, sl st to top of first hdc. (48)
Round 5: ch 1, in 2nd ch from the hook do a * hdc, hdc in next ch, 2 sc in ch 2 space from previous round, repeat from * around. sl st to top of first hdc. (48)
- Round 6: ch 3, * 2 dc in 4th ch from hook, sc in next ch, repeat from * around. sl st to top of first dc. (72)
- Round 7: ch 3, * ch 2, sk 2 chs , dc in next ch, repeat from * around. sl st to first ch (not the ch 3). (74)
- Round 8: ch 3, dc in ch 2 space from previous round, * {dc in next ch 2 space, ch 3, dc in same ch 2 space} repeat from * around ending with a ch 2, sl st to top of first dc. (98)
- Round 9: ch 3, *3 dc’s in ch 2 space from previous round, sc between 2 dc’s from previous row, repeat from * around, ending with 3 dc in ch 2 space and 1 sc in same space. sl st to top of fist dc. (100)
- Round 10: ch 3, *ch 3, 2 dc’s in sc from previous round, repeat from * around. end with 1 dc, sl st to top of first ch of 2nd chain 3. (124)
- Round 11: ch 1, * 3 sc’s in ch 3 space from previous round, dc in next ch, dc in next ch, repeat from * around, ending with 4 sc, sl st to top of fist sc. (124)
- Round 12: ch 3, starting in 4th ch from hook *dc, dc, dc, dc, ch 1, repeat from * around ending a dc, dc, dc, dc, sl st to top of first dc. (154)
- Round 13: ch 1, * sc, sc, sc, sc, 2 dc’s in ch 1 space from previous round, repeat from * around ending with 2 dc’s in sl st space from previous round, sl st to top of first sc. (186)
- Round 14: ch 3, ch 1, * dc, ch 3, dc in same ch as first dc, ch 1, skip 6 ch, repeat from * around ending with a dc, ch 3, dc, sl st to top of first dc. (162)
- Round 15: ch 3, * 7 dc’s in ch 3 space from previous round, 1 dc in ch 1 space from previous round. repeat from * around. sl st to top of first dc. (190)
Finishing:
- Fasten off yarn after round 15.
Weave in ends throughout mandala with yarn needle.
You may block this if you wish.
