So I got a better idea for that FatPack art - more Champions. Banneret is supposed to serve as a replacement for Cloudgoat Ranger, which had to go away from the deck.
Uuugh! Re-editing cards after two night shifts ended up in mistakes? No way! Clachan Scribe, Kithkin Cleric and Thoughtweft Duo are not legendary. Also, Clachan Scribe is pretty much a color pie break so after a playtest I decided to make it more of a Bygone/Mentor-like card.
I’m super excited about the upcoming Strixhaven set ^-^
And of course I had to draw my Reiri as part of it. She would fit in the Lorehold College perfectly, she would just love having adventures and searching for historical relics and artifacts.
I’ve started planning a pw card for her too, now thinking on the abilities… any ideas? :)
Today,Affinity for Anime surpassed 100 followers! I think the recent spike in new subscriptions that has occurred over the past few weeks can be primarily attributed to MTGFan, who I think it’s safe to speculate has a far greater following than I do. I definitely want to extend a thanks for publishing my submissions and helping to get the word out about my blog. You’re awesome.
Also, to thank everyone for following, liking and sharing my daily creations, I’ve got an extra special one for you all today. The multi-type Planeswalker idea for this card was inspired by Mark Rosewater’s Tumblr, Blogatog and I even went the extra mile by going into Photoshop and editing the card so Simon’s hair and Kamina’s cape broke the borders. As long as you guys keep liking I’ll keep the cards coming. Thanks for 100 and here’s hoping for 100 more!
All of the way back in 2013 I envisioned dual-type planeswalkers. Six years later, Wizards has finally printed one of their own.
Splatoon 2′s final splatfest was Chaos vs Order. I did two versions of this card since the actual Magic card I’m parodying was Order and Chaos, which is white and red. However, I could modify the actual colors in MSE with gold and artifact borders to match the ink colors from the splatfest.
I was looking through my old Magic cards when I saw the funny formatting for Crystal Shard’s activation cost. And I started thinking… isn’t this just “numbered hybrid mana” that uses a 3 for the colorless cost instead of a 2? Can someone please confirm for me if I’m understanding this correctly. These are both exactly the same card, right?
Such a clean and simple design. I can’t believe a card like this hasn’t been printed yet. (Well, there is “Backslide” and “Master of the Veil” but there’s the restriction that the creature being targeted has to have morph.)
