Left: in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Vivian is almost always seen smiling during regular gameplay on the overworld, such as during the animation of pulling Mario into the shadows.
Right: however, when releasing Mario from the shadows at the end of the overworld ability animation, for a few frames, Vivian is seen frowning before going back to smiling. Due to both characters being deformed by the emerging animation during this, it is very difficult to notice during gameplay. This may imply that Vivian is briefly sad about having to let go of Mario.

The world is in a tumultuous place, but we have to remember that there are countless reasons to be proud of who we are. Right now, we need to stand with our queer POC siblings in solidarity. Tony McDade was killed by police, but we will not let his memory disappear, nor any of the people murdered by our broken system.
