Hey guys, sorry for the long absence. I haven’t gotten around to finishing any personal card arts this year so far.
This was actually a commission. The first one I’ve ever excepted. These two partner commanders where what they used for an eldrazi commander deck and wanted them to fit the eldrazi flavour. I had so much fun with the vial smasher but didn’t feel I got thrasios to the same level, but still enough to call complete
I don’t know if this means I’m going to start opening up to commissions or not.. anyone’s more then welcome to ask. But I have to feel confident enough in task and excited enough in the content in order to feel ok doing such a thing.
All of these are free to use, and you can track down the art and edit them however you like, JUST don’t be a douche and use cards you don’t own (unless it’s for a cube perhaps) and please keep artist accreditation (Jeremy Carver). and of course: DON’T SELL THEM!
Because I own 7 commander decks and a solumn for 7 a pop is a little crazy, (though I do own an actual copy of all if these.)

Rey the hero is a natural fit for White Knight. And of course, Kylo Ren is the Black Knight counterpart villain. Captain Phasma is a Silver Knight in her custom stormtrooper armor. Finn is the only one who requires a bit more explanation. See those three streaks on his helmet? Those of you who have seen Episode VII will understand why I’ve chosen him to be the representative for Blood Knight.
I also really like how each has protection from the color of his or her rival–Rey vs Kylo Ren and Captain Phasma vs Finn.
I was looking through my old Magic cards when I saw the funny formatting for Crystal Shard’s activation cost. And I started thinking… isn’t this just “numbered hybrid mana” that uses a 3 for the colorless cost instead of a 2? Can someone please confirm for me if I’m understanding this correctly. These are both exactly the same card, right?
