☝️Day 9: Kamina from “Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann”. UGH THIS SHOW. I absolutely LOVE this series and it is definitely in my top 3 favorite anime series for me. This over-the-top mecha anime was a wild ride from start to finish and the fight scenes were literally out of this world. Kamina may not have been my favorite character (that would be Nia) but he was a character that was a driving force throughout the series and compelled everyone to be the best they could be. As Kamina would say, “believe in the me that believes in you”. Have you watched Gurren Lagann? It’s on Netflix if you haven’t!

Con was great as usual, a lot of running around, it seemed a lot less crowded this year, Im not sure if things were more spread out toward the Sheraton since it was so terribly hot out or if less people came due to the line fiasco last year.
Either way, had a great time with RoseSpirit and we debuted her new Latias costume, we’ll need to do some fixing work before AWA, but it came out really nice.
I also took home best masters for craftsmanship in the hall contest for my Ran costume. Next year will be the last year in the Baltimore convention center, can’t wait for it to move to DC.

Today,Affinity for Anime surpassed 100 followers! I think the recent spike in new subscriptions that has occurred over the past few weeks can be primarily attributed to MTGFan, who I think it’s safe to speculate has a far greater following than I do. I definitely want to extend a thanks for publishing my submissions and helping to get the word out about my blog. You’re awesome.
Also, to thank everyone for following, liking and sharing my daily creations, I’ve got an extra special one for you all today. The multi-type Planeswalker idea for this card was inspired by Mark Rosewater’s Tumblr, Blogatog and I even went the extra mile by going into Photoshop and editing the card so Simon’s hair and Kamina’s cape broke the borders. As long as you guys keep liking I’ll keep the cards coming. Thanks for 100 and here’s hoping for 100 more!
