Thrasher Death Match 2019 Day 3
Last Saturday capped off three days worth of rock, rap & ramps at Thrasher Magazine’s Death Match in Austin, TX. Cash For Tricks went off on the mini ramp with the addition of the Daniel Johnston inspired extension that had Chris Russell & Roman Pabich doing some eye gouging inverts. The Viagra Boys brought their Swedish showmanship to the stage before Austin psych torchbearers, The Black Angeles, kicked up dust for their home crowd. Living legend and Austin’s original rock tripper Roky Erickson was the festival headliner and brought to life 13th Floor Elevator hits like “Levitation” & “Reverberation” before closing with a crowd pleasing “Two Headed Dog.” Thank you everyone who came out to Thrasher’s Death Match to skate the ramp and jump in the pit, you made it another memorable year!

“Story of an Artist Growing Old” is a video essay that expresses my PhD investigation which deals with the strange power of Art and its influence on identity and personal development.
