Young blue stars circling the galactic center dominate the Andromeda Galaxy in this image taken in ultraviolet! About 2.5 million light-years away, the Andromeda Galaxy, also known as M31, really is our galactic neighbour. Spanning about 230,000 light-years, it took 11 different image fields from NASA’s Galaxy Evolution Explorer (GALEX) satellite telescope to produce this gorgeous portrait of the spiral galaxy in ultraviolet light in 2003. Its spiral arms stand out in visible light images, Andromeda’s arms are sites of intense star formation. They have been interpreted as evidence that Andromeda collided with its smaller neighboring elliptical galaxy M32 more than 200 million years ago. The Andromeda galaxy and our own comparable Milky Way galaxy are the most massive members of the Local Group of galaxies and are projected to collide in several billion years – perhaps around the time that our Sun’s atmosphere will expand to engulf the Earth.

Light it up, the world
With a very sad heart, I wanted to say goodbye to Spectrum’s Dongyoon. I offer my condolences to his family, friends and members during this hard time.
Although my time learning about you was short, I pray you are in a safe place and resting in peace. You did well. You certainly did light up the world. Farewell, you worked hard.

-Cuddling
-Openly discussing thoughts and experiences or having a deep conversation
-Kissing
-Watching a show or movie together
-Body tracing
-Reading together
-A massage
-Going for a walk together
-Dancing together
-Sexual affection
-Playing with someone’s hair
-Cooking/Baking together
-Having a meal together
-Sitting with someone and really looking into their eyes
-Expressing opinions to each other
-Holding hands
-Expressing feelings to each other
-Saying “I love you”
-Sleeping next to each other
These are just some of the ways people can express intimacy. The purpose of this post is to show how different intimacy can look. There are different types of intimacy that can be seen in different types of relationships/friendships.

Can’t wait to see Monica Rambeau aka Spectrum in WandaVision.
why do people assume autism means below average intelligence?
Ava never gets invited on playdates. None of the moms who befriended me during pregnancy, all of us due within mere weeks of each other, have ever made any effort to get to know my child. They like my updates about her achievements on Facebook, and that is the extent of their involvement. I don’t need their approval, I don’t need their friendship. I do need them, and everyone else to understand a few things about my child. Autism is different for every person on the spectrum. For my daughter, that means shes behind her peers in social and emotional categories. Her language skills aren’t as advanced as theirs.
BUT
That also means that even though Ava isn’t even three yet she:
- Can correctly identify all the letters of the alphabet, say them and the sounds they make.
- Identifies *almost* any animal, and if she doesn’t know one she only needs to be told once to remember the name.
- Can count and identify numbers 1-20
- Knows all her colors, she even knows the difference between blue and cyan.
- Knows almost all the shapes including rhombus, hexagon, pentagon and parallelogram.
This is not the extent of her knowledge. She is insanely intelligent and far more advanced than her peers in these ways. She blows us all away day after day. But yet there are people out there who will write her off immediately based off her diagnosis and their failure to understand what Autism really is. There are people who will never encourage their kids to get to know her.
All I can hope for is her happiness, and that she makes friends that understand her and accept her for everything that makes her, her.
SEXUALITY IS A SPECTRUM.
It’s fine to take your time and figure out where you lie on this spectrum. Appreciate it.
Racing Reflections
Watching the signs slide by on the highway…unlike the ones normal people see…we sense shifting colors on vaporous canvas, subtle yet silent motion, amorphous, brilliant, ghostly…suddenly, as though bursting forth in a sudden surge of energy, our reflection appears, riding on the tip of our shadow as it pierces the clouds beneath us.
i feel like i’m never going to find someone to love me, but yet i know realistically someone will probably love me, eventually, maybe. i’m not capable of touching people casually. i can’t even casually hug friends. so i doubt i’ll ever be able to kiss a girl on the cheek. or hug her. or do anything. human connections are so hard for me. i can barely hug my step-dad. the only person i can hug frequently and casually is my mom. i want to love someone and do all that lovey dovey shit but i feel like i just won’t be able to do it right. like i’ll fail and i don’t like failing at all. i also am afraid of rejection. i want a girlfriend but i feel like everyone my age is too immature for me so i feel like i won’t be able to get a girlfriend until college which makes me sad because i see other people in relationships around me. anyway yeah, love. it’s a thing. it’s scary. but i want it.
