We see a great many photographs depicting artists’ models striking their dramatic or elegant poses, but very few scenes where they interact with those who are to recreate their image in works of art.

Photographed by Thomas Eakins in Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, during the 1880s, an unusual scene featuring not just the model but two of the artists working on their depictions of his form. The picture is titled Charles Cox painting in the Art Student’s League : we can assume Mr Cox is the chap with the prominent white shirt sleeve, but take a careful look and you can spy a second, dark-clothed, student toward the left.

A moth cryptid named Cairo has appeared with a few friends!!!
Inspiration gift I did a while back ago for @skyesrandomdoodles of their oc, Cairo! I love Cairo as a cryptid soo I felt inspired to draw him and add a few mythical moth like friends too! I had a blast working on this!!! ✨
Wanted to draw Mew after I got a plush of it from my favorite GameStop at my favorite mall the other day. I’m starting to love with how this came out more and more, even the background!
