Ruhn, Flynn, and Declan are ski instructors and lift operators at the popular Mount Valbara Ski Resort, and boy are they loving life. A steady influx of visitors to their lovely mountain town are easily met during the day to keep them entertained at night. Of course, they’re stuck mostly operating the lifts now that a new “skiing exclusive” resort has opened up across the street, taking most of their customers for lessons. At least it gives them ample time to meet the ski bunnies as they keep the lines under control. Surely nothing can get in the way of the life they’re leading. Especially not a new ski instructor Ruhn’s been tasked to train.

Time to drop this art piece! Based on a whimsical scene from SJM’s latest release House Of Earth And Blood. This was built exclusively for atouchofmagicdesign’s (on IG) August 2020 art drop!
I was requested to do this piece before I had a chance to read Crescent City, so I was keeping an eye out for this mysterious ‘Drop’. Little did I know how far into the novel it took for it to actually happened, so it made me just as frustrated with Bryce as everyone around her: 'Take the freakin’ DROP!’.
This piece had a massively different color scheme at first that matched the cover’s gold and red colors, but we shifted the scheme to the current color set and I’m all the more happy for it - it has a dance club techno vibe and plays up Bryce’s party-girl motif. Hence its project title, 'Drop a Beat’. Just looking at this gives me violent cravings for Starbursts and Taffy.
Side note: Wardrobe change! The close up shots show previous differences to Bryce’s lips and shirt color that were not reshot after editing the final photo, for which I no longer have the piece in my possession. My mistake! Ignore!

And soul to soul with the friend whom she had not forgotten, the friend who had not forgotten her, even in death, Bryce made the Drop”
