okay so i never actually ended up finishing the colors for this, but i still wanted to share my Snakobolds, aka my personal design/headcanon for the kobold crew from RQG. each of them is based on a different species of snake.

from left to right: draal, tadyka, skraak, sassraa, natun, meerk, and driaak

based on a western hognose snake, a ball python, an indian cobra, a blunthead tree snike, a green vince snake, a cornsnake, and a coral snake, respectively.

Tadyka is a tall, muscled kobold based on the appearance of a ball python. They are uncolored and have a somewhat irritated or angry expression. She short, stout, pointed horns, and is wearing a toga clasped on one shoulder.

Skraak is a medium-height kobold with dark red scales on his back and lighter, pinkish scales on his front. They are based on the appearance of an Indian cobra, and the eyespots on their hood are just visible. They have long, narrow horns pointing backward off their face. He is wearing a toga or tunic clasped at both shoulders with a belt around his waist. He has his arms crossed over his chest and an irritated expression.

Sassraa is a short, skinny kobold with an exceptionally large head, based on the appearance of a blunthead tree snake. She has pinkish scales, with darker scales on her back and lighter scales on her front. They have large, curling horns and very large eyes. She is wearing a dress or robe clasped under her armpits, with halter-style shoulder straps. She has a happy, interested expression on her face.

Natun is a tall, somewhat skinny kobold with red scales and a yellow underbelly. They are based on the appearance of a green vine snake. They have long, narrow, wavy horns and a very long, pointed snout. They are wearing a toga or wrap crossed over their front with a clasp, and a belt. They have a happy but mischievous expression, and are looking to their left towards Meerk.

Meerk is a medium-height kobold based on the appearance of a cornsnake. He is uncolored, and has one large pair of backward-curing horns and a smaller straight pair behind those. They are wearing a skirt or belted tunic, with the upper half of the tunic hanging around their waist. They are holding one hand up in a ‘why not?’ gesture.

Driaak is a medium-height, somewhat stocky kobold with black, red, and yellow stripes over their body, based on the appearance of a coral snake. They two pairs of short rounded horns and are wearing a tunic or toga clasped at both shoulders and belted at the waist. They have a long forked tongue poked out from between their lips and a somewhat worried expression.

i don’t have the time or ideas to do more than one picture for Hamsterdam Week, and i’m hard at work on my RQBB so I don’t have time to write a fic, but the Day Two prompt “Only One Bed” really spoke to me. So here you go!

So I’ve been creating my fantasy RPG world, Ferlausen, for around… 3 years or so? And finally, after ages and ages and ages, I’ve decided to update the height chart for the most common intelligent species in the world! It’s been a long time coming.

The fifth is a dwarf. They have light-to-medium brown skin, long, dark brown hair, and a thick beard of the same color. They are quite fat, with a boxy shape. They are 4′ 1″

The sixth is a crowfolk. They look like a very large, humanoid crow, with feathered arms and clawed hands instead of wings. They have a crow-like tail, a large sharp beak, and black eyes. They are 4′ 11″

The seventh is a hobgoblin. They have bright red skin, large pointed ears, and a small tuft of black hair down the center of their scalp. They have feet shaped like hands, with an opposable thumb. They are 5′ 4″

The eighth is a human. They are a black person with very short black hair and a somewhat muscular build. They are 5′ 7″

The ninth is an elf. They are an extremely thin, elongated humanoid with pale greenish skin and long dark green hair. They have extremely long and narrow pointed ears. They are 5′ 9″

The tenth is a catfolk. They are a bipedal, digitigrade cat with gray fur. They have dark grey stripes and their belly and inner parts of their thighs are white. They have a long, fluffy striped tail and claws. They are 5′ 10″

The eleventh is a dragonborn. They are a bipedal, digitigrade, reptilian individual with a long scaled snout and many sharp black horns extending from their head and face, as well as sharped curved black spines down their back. They have red scales, with yellow belly scales. They have claws, but do not have a tail. They are 6′ 2″

The twelfth is an orc. They are a humanoid individual with pale, bluish-gray skin and long black hair. They have a pair of white tusks protruding upwards from their mouth. They are fat and have a muscular build. They are 7′ 0″

The thirteenth is a giantkind. They are a large, dark-skinned humanoid with dark black hair worn in locs. They have a powerful, muscular build and brown eyes with no pupil. They are 8′ 8″

I’m doing an RQG re-listen and just finished Bertie’s Sidequest and I just had to draw my most beloved himbo.

(also i remembered that ed wears just a breastplate *after* i’d finished drawing the full plate and it was like the best armor i’d ever draw so i decided to keep it. ed’s got full plate energy anyway.)

I can’t believe it! Our Kickstarter has only been live for, like, 6 hours, and we’re already fully funded! Thank you so much to everyone who backed us, this means so much! We’re actually getting to publish this amazing anthology!

Hey followers, I just wanted to let everyone know that I’m part of a comics anthology that’s launching their Kickstarter this Saturday, April 3rd!

Less Than Secret has been a really cool project to be a part of, and includes comics from some amazing and talented creators. There’s some comedy, some horror, some heartfelt drama, and all-in-all it’s a really well-rounded book!
