small man wedged in my brain somebody please get him out of there

so like…. no mercy au where instead of noelle being the one you use, its lancer instead???? idk if anyone else has done this. i call it the spades route :)

you have to choose the “no triple trucies” option and, instead of her joining your party anyways, she goes on ahead to the next room. this is where you start the run

lots more info + images below the cut :)

going into the following room continues a normal route and she joins your party, but if you stay in the alley and go into your KEYS to select lancer, his card pops out and he appears confused for a moment because despite his various amounts of dialogue in the normal game, there are a few rooms where he doesnt have any new remarks about plot progression, so this could apply as an area where he wasn’t paying attention for the past few rooms.

choosing “we split up” would cause lancer to return to your items because he thinks it would be easier to look for them with just kris going on foot, which immediately abandons the route.

you backtrack after this like you would in the snowgrave route. it starts out a bit slow because it follows the same mechanic of defending until you have enough tp; instead of iceshock, lancer casts SPADETHRASH, which immediately turns the enemy into a statue like lancer and rouxls do in the normal route later on. this is like a parallel to being frozen solid in ice; the description upon interacting with the statues would be brief and similar to the normal description for the iced enemies, stating that they’re “petrified solid.”

that’s all im gonna put in this post because im making more drawings/edits/etc for this but yeas. tee hee

Sorry for Spamming a Ton…of Spamton, but Welcome To The Internet by Bo Burnham fits him so well and I have not stopped listening to it.

Ya had to be a [[BIG SHOT]], did ya?

golvio:

People are comparing Rouxls to Mettaton, but they don’t acknowledge the key difference between them. Mettaton’s a pretty savvy guy, he just does outrageous things because that’s what brings in the views. Rouxls, on the other hand, is an authentic Grade A organic cage-free dumbass.

I have a potential conjecture for how Noelle Holiday’s character could go in future Deltarune chapters if you don’t do the “Weird Route”, I’ll put it under a Keep Reading:

When she’s in our party in chapter 2, if you don’t use Iceshock, then she mostly serves as the “healer” of the party with Heal Prayer, as well as a status de-buffer since she can make enemies tired using Sleep Mist.

But I wonder if we do the normal route, maybe in future chapters Noelle’s magic will grow in the future and she’ll gain additional spells, to reflect her newfound confidence that she gains by telling off the Queen at the end of chapter 2.

It reminds me of two specific characters from Fire Emblem Fates: Sakura, the youngest of the Hoshido royal siblings, and Elise, the youngest of the Nohr royal siblings.

When Sakura and Elise first join your party as a Shrine Maiden and Troubadour respectively, they can heal but have no other magic, so it’s difficult to level them up since they have to constantly heal other party members to gain experience.

But once you promote them to the advanced classes, their high Magic stats means that with the right weapons or skills, they can become powerhouses.

For example, if you promote Sakura from Shrine Maiden to Priestess and give her a Shining Bow, she actually becomes very powerful in combat.

For another example, if you promote Elise from Troubadour to Strategist, temporarily re-class her into Malig Knight to get the Savage Blow and Trample skills, and then re-class her back into Strategist and give her higher-ranking magical Tomes, she’ll become very powerful in combat.

So back to Noelle Holiday in Deltarune, I wonder if we do the normal route, Noelle will eventually upgrade her role from “healer” to “healer with additional offensive magic”, especially if we ever find a “magical weapon” for her in the future.

A thought I just had about Deltarune:

We learn in chapter 2 that there are only two people Noelle Holiday has ever been able to say “no” to: the first is her father Rudy Holiday, and the second is her childhood friend Kris Dreemurr.

So she’s only able to say “no” to her father and Kris.

We also get more development for Noelle’s crush on Susie, such as the Ferris Wheel ride.

So, one question that might be interesting to explore if Noelle and Susie end up dating in later chapters:

If Noelle had a disagreement with Susie, would she be able to say “no” to her like she can to her father and to Kris?

For a hypothetical example, let’s say in, picking a number off the top of my head, chapter 5 or so, Susie wants to go fight the boss of that chapter alone, while Noelle wants Susie to take Kris and Ralsei with her. Would Noelle say “no” to Susie, or would Noelle agree with Susie’s decision?

It would be interesting to see if this comes up in future chapters. Though it’s also possible they won’t have a disagreement, so the question will be moot because their romantic relationship will be smooth sailing.

So now that Deltarune chapter 2 has been released, those of us who have played through it have seen “the way chapter 2 ends.”

And now we’re wondering what chapter 2′s ending says about Kris.

But this happened before; chapter 1 also ended on a cliffhanger that made us think something sinister was going to happen, but at the beginning of chapter 2 it was revealed to be harmless.

To be more specific, spoilers under the Keep Reading:

Chapter 1 ended with Kris ripping our SOUL out of their chest and grabbing a knife, so after chapter 1′s release, we thought, “is Kris going to become a murderer? Are they going to kill their mother Toriel, or their friends Ralsei and Susie?”

In fact after chapter 1 was released, there were people on Youtube making fanmade chapter 2s where Kris became a murderer, and Ralsei and Susie (or in one fanmade fight the Spade King and Lancer) had to fight Kris.

Then chapter 2 was released, and it turned out…actually Kris only grabbed a knife so they could eat all the pie in the fridge without Toriel’s permission. Which still isn’t very nice since they didn’t save any pie for Toriel, but it turns out Kris didn’t rip out our SOUL so they could start killing people like we feared would happen.

So chapter 2 just begins with Toriel lightly scolding us for eating the entire pie, and then sending us to school.

So I think chapter 2′s ending might be a similar fakeout, and chapter 3′s beginning will reveal it to be harmless.

For example, maybe Kris only slashed their mom’s tires and opened a Fountain as a really misguided way of dragging Susie into another “fun adventure in the Dark World”.

So maybe chapter 3 will begin the same way chapter 2 did, faking us out into thinking something sinister was going to happen, and then just giving us a light scolding instead like how Toriel lightly scolded Kris for eating the entire pie and not saving any for her. Maybe chapter 3 will begin with Susie lightly scolding us and, given her personality, giving us a light punch in the shoulder and saying something like, “If you wanted to hang out with me in the Dark World so bad you should’ve SAID something; you didn’t have to put the world at risk with a new Fountain!”

Anyway, that’s my personal conjecture as to how chapter 3 might render chapter 2′s ending a “fake-out”, just as chapter 2 rendered chapter 1′s ending a “fake-out”.
