“Being regressed is always difficult,” the nurse assured her, “the first 24 hours are the roughest but soon you won’t remember this… or anything for that matter.” The nurse rubbed her back as the girl tried to settle into her crib, “Try to stay calm while the surgery and drugs take effect. I will be back in 30 minutes to feed and change you.”
“But I am not hungry or needing to be changed,” the girl protested.
“Oh you will be,” the nurse smugly remarked as she left the nursery, “and no talking back or you will get a double-dose. If you hate it now, try that.”
