Well, there’s still some days to go, but let’s round up the year, shall we? It fits well too, cos this ends the era of my previous laptop too.
What I find so sad bout the Year in Review posts is often how ppl only show just a smidge of what they’ve done in the year. I, for one, like to see them more as a summary for what I’ve done this year, so I added some more thourough look into this year XD
Ngl, I drew a lot more than I thought. I think, however, that this is linked to the habit I started at the start of the year with Undertale, that being the big ass sketching canvases. I just open up a big square canvas and have multiple sketching layers, just putting down anything that comes to mind. It feels like drawing on those took away my hesitance to draw and most finished drawings are just rendered sketches from this sketching compilations.
As for content, lots of fandom hopping again, but my love for muscles just grew so a lot of buff men were on the plate XD And the fandoms show that the “Anime” in my name is rly just a big fat lie.
I think the reason why I dropped TMNT 2012 was because I didn’t like Donnie’s crush on April and then the Donnie x April x Casey love triangle just made the situation even more annoying, that I just couldn’t watch it, even though 2012 had one of my favorite iterations of Casey and Hun, but they eventually stopped using Hun, so I had no reason to stick around and stay with the show. The last episode I watched was when Donnie got possessed by some car mutant.
I think I clung to Rise so fast because they made it apparent that April was one of the homies since episode 1. Sometimes I got nervous when they had her paired up with Donnie some episodes, but then again, they made it apparent that they were just best friends who balance each other out.

-Backstory time :
Meets is a self-learning AI, proudly made by Donnie, that then grew scared of it because of superstition and well, movies. He decided to shut him down. Much to everyone’s surprise, Metalhead isn’t really kin on dying, so he fought back and escaped. At that point Donnie believes he created a powerful super-villain and he’s full on having a panic meltdown.
His brothers and friends reassures him and help him go looking for it. They all have a lot of trouble finding it, until they realize it’s with the Mutanimals, hiding.
They took it in thinking it was a really fucked up mutant. The turtle family bust in, explains the situation and the Mutanimals are like “… I don’t know mate they seem pretty cool. Have you tried talking to them before going on a rampage ?”
Donnie is confused (cough cough movies) and looks at Metalhead and they look DOWNRIGHT TERRIFIED. And then the turtle family looks at each other and go : oh. Ohhhhh we were huge assholes there for a hot minute. Anyway, they’re adopted now.
-Tiny metallic version of the turtles -Colorcoded Pink -No mouth but overly expressive eyes. -Raph is the best at learning the sign language, Donnie second, Mikey third and Leo is bad at it but he’s trying. -They’re interested in science for it’s capacity of Explaining Everything -They like the science of people as well. -They love gossiping with Raph, and can be quite obnoxious about it (abilities such as seeing through walls and enhanced hearing) -The reason Raph is the best at learning the language is because he’s very motivated by the idea of gossiping more with his sibling. -Share their room with Shelldon -Interested in “science” in the broad way, they like all fields. -Learn engineering with Don and go get infos about other fields elsewhere. -Donnie is the 2nd most motivated to learn the sign language because of when they work on a project together, he sometimes give a task to Metalhead but they can’t communicate about it and it frustrates Don. -Meets sometimes acts as the Mikey Babysitter tm. When Mikey fucks up Meets is usually the one to clean up. -Mikey is the one that tries his very best to make Meets feels welcome and part of the family. Meets deeply appreciate it. -Leo is put off by the whole situation and it takes him a while to warm up to them, which is why he’s the last at understanding the language, far, far behind Mikey. -Splinter immediatly saw them as the reasonnable spawn, and keeps their brothers away from stupid teen shit. He didn’t expect Metalhead to also do stupid teen shit. -April and Casey thinks the turtles getting a robot brother is hella metal. (Donnie picks up : “it is indeed pretty “metal”, since it’s a bot”
Colorcoded!Casey lore : -Casey is American-Korean -Unofficial korean name (not on papers) is Deok-Su (덕수) -He has a little sister named Hye-Jin (혜진) -Casey’s mom is american and out of the picture (abusive) -Casey’s dad is Jong-Min (종민) -Their last name is Ra -Hye-Jin only speaks Korean, and Casey is bilingual. -Casey has a weird rivalry with Buckle, Raph’s pet dog-mouser. Colorcoded!April lore : -April is Canadian -Her dad knows about the turtles, but not that they are a danger magnet. -April has no ninja training but she does help the team by being the Gun Person. -The gun’s name is Cassandra, Casey for short -April can get REALLY intense when talking about things she’s interested about, which got her bullied and left alone until Casey (the Jones), and the turtles. -If her friends gets “bullied” she can and will go into a blind rage and try to deck anyone that hurted them -She’s a stress cleaner

Colorcoded!Splinter lore : -In his story, Yoshi was actually the greedy and “evil” one, and learned from his mistake -Yoshi’s life is basically : Good childhood ! Good clan ! Bad, leave clan Good, love new clan ! Bad, start war Bad, leave forever Bad, guilt for years Good, learn to live anyway Bad, spiraling back into guilt Good, found turtles Good, made family Good, changed for the better Good, is being the best dad I can be Good, happy :) -Really good dad and pays attention to his sons -He learned to cook food for them -When he noticed their interest in pizza he learned to make it -He encourages all kind of activities outside ninja training -Never closed his bedroom door in case they wanted to sleep with him because of nightmares or just because they wanted to -When they were small, read a story for them before bed. -Splinter took care of the boys’ education, learning more as world evolved to keep them up to date. -During the night Splinter would take them for picnics in an abandonned area when they expressed the desire to go outside -He did the Talk when April started to come by often. It was never a taboo subject and the kids were comfortable about it until Splinter explained the differences between theirs and humans anatomy with pictures. -Heavily respects their privacy. Always knocks on their doors, never go through any of their belongings. -He has a ton of pictures of them in his room. -He often tells them how proud he is -He hangs out with them most of the time unless they don’t want to.
