The Drive-In
In the city where I grew up, the drive-in was one of the best parts of the summer. It was nestled right up against the foothills of the mountains, and the first of the two movies of the night would start to play just as the sun was disappearing. My friends and I would go to the movies armed with pajamas and a giant tub of strawberry sherbet, and just have a running commentary going as we watched.
Sort of experimenting with some changes to my usual watercolor traditional/digital coloring techniques here. I figured out some things that I want to try differently next time, but in the meantime, stylistic growing pains.
Edit - went back, tweaked the color because I wasn’t happy with it and it was sitting on my desktop

Date idea: drive in movie with homemade snacks made by the both of you.

Who wanted a picture of their characters Yoiryu the kitsune, and Conall enjoying a movie together at a drive in theatre.
Anyone got any popcorn?
This was a really fun scene to make. I’m really proud with the glow effects i did here, and drawing so many cars was good practice for me. Since machines and structures can be a bit of a challenge for me sometimes.
