THE WONDER EMPORIUM DAWN-OF-CINEMA REVUE

Shooting the Chutes(1896)

This early Edison production chronicles a ride at Coney Island. The whole film is one single take, not unlike the famous Copacabana scene in Goodfellas or the opening scene of Touch of Evil. Out of 138 votes, IMDB users’ average rating is 4.4 out of 10, which is probably accurate, and yet still seems a little harsh.
