CAL KESTIS

SW Jedi: Fallen Order

obiwanobi:

I’ve been replaying Fallen Order and I’m still not over how sadthis game is.

It’s a story about hope, sure, but the amount of trauma Cal has to go through is astonishing, it’s just one sad and traumatized Jedi after one sad and traumatized fallen Jedi and the poor kid ALSO has to go through echoes in the Force of the death of Jedi masters and padawans and so many clones and stormtroopers. He keeps saying that it’s very difficult for him to be on Ilum, that walking in the Venator wreckage is like picking at the bones of his old life, and this comment is even worse when you remember that scrapping old Venator ships used to be his job. Cal endures endures endures, like all Jedi do.I’m just so sorry for him, for all of them, god this game is so sad.

While I am excited for Jedi Fallen Order, why is the mc just a white guy? Why not a lady? Why not a non-human species? There are so many interesting choice in the galaxy

I’m doing my first playthrough of Jedi: Fallen Order and I’m pleased that they are rectifying one longstanding criticism I had of the Star Wars universe: a lack of everyday interactions with music. With the exception of the cantina band, Ezra’s habit of whistling, and a couple instances of Zeb listening to the radio in Rebels, most of the characters seem to have little to do with music. As the various cultures are so steeped in lore and legends, the omission seemed strange, as all societies have their own musical traditions that factor into life. Therefore, it would seem obvious that different forms of folk music or some other form of musical expression/enjoyment would be present in Star Wars, yet it seems to be the exception. I was thus delighted to see Cal playing an instrument for no other reason than he just wanted to for fun. This is the type of world-building I hope to see more of in future projects.

So you’re telling me that, despite Cal Kestis infiltrating Fortress Inquisitorius five years prior by swimming up through an entrance point underwater, and managing to escape because water broke through the underwater tunnels, Obi Wan Kenobi managed to do the exact same thing,AND somehow they haven’t upped their security nor the structural integrity of their underwater hallways??? No wonder the empire didn’t last
