Character Development for new Webtoons Comic
Hey everyone!
I’m working on a comic at the minute with Nathan Wong for Gods before me.
It’s a webcomic he’s been working on for a while and I’m taking over the artwork for the relaunch of the prolouge story now. Here are some character explorations and development for the main characters.
It’s more of a side project, so there is no clear release date, but hopefully we should be launching it this year.

Im doing a Myth Inktober and my comic, Ouramyr, as the main theme. Ouramyr is about all mythical creatures and beings in one world, which are called sages. An aristocrat named Inez sees that there importance brings balance to the world.
I started inktober with my main protagonist researching and now i’ll end it with her researching but asleep. The main mystery of my comic is who or what is Ouramyr. At the end of each chapter, entries and records are noted about this Ouramyr. Some reveal it’s beauty, it’s light, something about a child, something about death and the latest tell how all real records we’re destroyed.

The missing girl part 38 -
Once Dali had told Mr.Grey and the kids about the bad news about Hannah, they immediately wanted to head back out…they needed to see it with their own eyes. Officer Petrovich picked them up and drove them out there.
When Petrovich’s car arrived near the scene Saoirse could already see all the blue/red lights of the police cars in the dark. It was ominous and as the car came to a halt the officers outside all looked into their direction - sad expressions was all Saoirse could see and his heart dropped further.
He jumped out of the car immediately
Saoirse: “ Where ? Where is she ? ”
Officer: “ Out in the reeds, officer Fawcett is there but you guys shouldn’t see this ”
Saoirse: “ Why just because we are kids ? I promised Anna to bring her back…damn it”
He just ran off, the officer tried to stop him but Petrovich told him to let them go. The other kids followed Saoirse through the woods down to the reeds.
All Saoirse could hear was his heartbeat blocking out all other noise. It felt like he was caught in a nightmare and still as long as he didn’t see her a flicker of hope remaind. It still could be someone else…it still could be misidentification on the police behalf…it still…
He broke through the tall reeds, there almost in a fetal position laid the cold naked body of Hannah Grey…beloved daughter and sister of Anna. Her skin was pale and she looked so fragile. Horrified the kids starred in disbelief when the screams of Mr.Grey pulled them back into the moment.
Mr.Grey: “ No no my baby…my little girl”
Officer Fawcett hurried over to the man holding him back.
Fawcett: “ No father should see their child like this…get him away ”
officers rushed in and took Mr.Grey away from the scene. Saoirse and the others could still hear him cry out for his child. How could this have happened ? All their efforts and hope trodden down in one instant.

Somewhat bittersweet. Looking back, I wish I had put more effort into parts of it, but at that time, it was what I could do. And that should be good enough. I started it, bc I realized I didn’t have a painting- but a drawing-problem, and couldn’t find enough ideas to sketch each day. And also bc I just love Comics and DA, to be honest. Well, that’s solved. And now I’m thrilled to move on. I want to turn to more illustration work now.

Inking page 5/5. My feelings for DA dried a bit up after 4 playthroughs and over half a year of fanart, and in my mind I was already contemplating compositions for one of my favorite D&D OC’s, who’s illustration is still missing…
And than BioWare released some new sneak peeks of DA4.

Who would have thought, that just 5 pages of a comic could take you so long xD Well, I didn’t. So many ups and downs. I wonder, if all artists are like that. Or does that just mean, that I’m improving? Just one more page to do.

Coloring page 4/5. I feel like I didn’t give this one enough energy. I somehow lost perspective of why I am doing this, got frustrated not reaching my goals and just wanted to finish it, and it shows.
Even if something doesn’t turns out the way we want it, we should let go of all these expectations and at least enjoy what we are doing. As long as we enjoy something, we will always give our best.
And if it still doesn’t met our expectations, these might just have been to high. As long as we strive, we will make progress, and that’s good enough.
One last page to do. I should remember that lesson.
