Okay, first I want to say, that the easiest language will always be the one you’re interested in. If you have fun while leaning and actually WANT to learn a language, it’ll be always easier than an “easy” language you don’t care about at all. For example if you want to learn Japanese because you loveJapan and their culture, every second learning another language will feel like a waste of time. If you like it = easy. Because if it’s more different, it will take you longer to learn the new language. There’s this “Language Difficulty Ranking” of the FSI, which shows the easiest and hardest languages for native English speakers.
