The nearly square floor plans are identical in design. A small cubicle is located in one corner of the plan and contains a small entrance hall, a storage cabinet and a vertical service duct.
From this anteroom, two doors lead into the plan. One door is in line with the entrance door and opens onto an elongated room that faces the inner courtyard. The second door enters a space along the front facade. The overall plan is only interrupted by a box that sits centrally and contains the kitchen along one of the shorter sides, a bathroom and separate WC, a service duct and a corridor that cleverly provides access to, and privacy for, the bathroom and WC. It also allows separate access across the apartment, enabling a much greater degree of independent useability of each space. Three sides of this box also contain pockets for sliding walls which can divide the open space into up to four rooms - temporarily or semi-permanently – to provide a wide variety of configurations. The design not only allows flexibility in use, but also give an expansive feeling in a relatively compact apartment (ca. 85 sq metres).
I’ve spent almost my entire weekend working on a simple floor plan for the House of Lamentation. I was trying to write some dumb fanficiton, realized that I had absolutely nothing concrete to anchor these characters to, and that was a problem for me.
Internet searches left me empty-handed. I found a lot of impressive Sim houses, but they didn’t really give me what I was looking for. So, I came to conclusion that I was going to have to make my own.
There are a lot of small, often contradictory details about the HOL that made this a pretty daunting task at first. Then I just said fuck it and rolled with the punches. I took my liberties to make something that worked for me - and hopefully, it can work for you, too!
I like to imagine that my MC self actually did take time to create a map like this for her own benefit - and to the benefit of anyone else who might need it. (Potential spoilers ahead + map is not to scale)

A silly little thing I messed with on floorplanner.com to make a 3D version of their house. Obviously the furniture and stuff are just rough approximations, haha.
And the Happabore! I used this model by Shiwei Ren to make the outlines. When I actually put the ship on a grid, where each square was 1x1 meter, to get a better sense of the scale, it turned out to be a lot larger than I initially imagined, so the babes get a bit more room. :D There are some official images of the Twilight that show some cut-away views, but they’re mostly concerned with weapons and not where people actually, you know, live and sleep. XD Since this ship is modified from a standard G9 Rigger Freighter, anyway, I basically made up everything except for the cockpit, medbay, and where the ramps are.
With the paranormal pack out now, I figured it was time to actually release my (very poorly) hidden treat from simblreen. There’s not much to say about tbh, but I’ve included the small amount of cc that I used since some of the windows haven’t been updated yet. Also! I used this siding by peacemaker (it’s included though!).

A couple of lots I built for our @build-a-hood project! First up is a residential lot on a 2x2 plot. It has 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms and a weird little tower thingy attached to the side. It’s furnished for a family of 5 and I was gonna do an unfurnished version until I, for the first time ever, realized that cleaninstaller has a “remove furniture” option when installing lots so yeah, use that if you want.
I hate looking for floorplans but I’m too impatient to create one all by myself. That’s where this website comes in. The Make Room allows you to create a room (even place furniture). You have two options upon entering: Make your own plan (by entering your own dimensions) or select a premade plan and edit it.
Mostly it helps me place furniture and then I can freely place walls where I want while in game. It saves me a lot of time editing and reediting rooms when furniture doesn’t fit properly. Here’s an example of one of the premade plans:
You can click the walls and change them, add and delete furniture, etc. I can’t explain it all fully, so I suggest you try it out.
