The story centers on Billy Bloom (Alex Lawther), a teenage drag queen facing intolerance and persecution at the ultra-conservative Dwight D. Eisenhower Academy.  After being shipped from Connecticut by his mother (Bette Midler) to live with his father (Larry Pine) in the south, Billy refuses to back down from the persistent bullying and ignorance surrounding him. In an effort to stand up for the outcasts and underdogs everywhere, and as a refusal to tone down who he is for the comfort of those around him, Billy makes a run for homecoming queen.

Finally getting around to uploading this sketch. I began working on it during Inktober but procrastinated HARD. I got a little lazy by the time I did the lettering, and my page started to wrinkle (which, let’s face it, graph paper wasn’t meant for drawings like this) BUT I decided it was time to share it. I may eventually go back to this and scan/ink it, or something. I just don’t want to work on it anymore.
