Mercatino di Shanghai. Anche se sembra, non siamo a Shanghai. É Genova. Sempre Genova, sempre lei. 694 pezzi di storia all'interno di un triangolo di 2mx2. E poi un mare di tracolle, un firmamento di custodie, uno scatolone di rullini, un beautycase per macchine fotografiche, un panino rancido, un portafogli ritrovato negli anni 80, un accendino a forma di canon eos e tanto tanto ma veramente tanto altro. Un uomo che ci ha insegnato che per fare fotografia non è indispensabile comprare una macchina fotografica che costa quanto un motorino. Che la fotografia non è una dote innata, una chiamata dal cielo, e l'unica luce vera è quella che passa attraverso l'obiettivo. A quest'uomo dobbiamo tantissimo; dobbiamo quel poco di ignoranza che ogni tanto siamo riusciti a tapullare; a lui dobbiamo i nostri primi amori.
#Buongiorno ragazzi, Boccadasse, in origine un piccolo borgo di pescatori distante solo pochi chilometri da Genova, è ormai diventato un vero e proprio quartiere cittadino, estrema propaggine a levante della capitale ligure. Ma anche se questa manciata di case dai colori pastello si può raggiungere facilmente con una comoda passeggiata partendo dalla zona fieristica, mano a mano che si superano gli eleganti edifici affacciati sul mare, gli stabilimenti balneari ed i locali, cambia l’atmosfera e, voltate le spalle alla grande città, ci si trova immersi nella Liguria più tipica.
This village which is very dear to us has old but colorful fishing houses and it is considered a taste of Cinque Terre in Genoa. This small village is named Boccadasse and it’s a unique place in which you can relax for a few hours far from the old town of Genoa. It is a village beloved by local people: they reach it from the city center in a few minutes by car or bus and relax there having a walk, tasting a gelato, an aperitif, or having dinner in one of the little restaurants that you can find in the small alleys.
Sometimes we take decisions which lead us towards a less comfortable situation, pushing our boundaries so that we can grow into e new version of ourselves. This often takes some kind of courage and, therefore, it’s not an easy thing to do. We like our good and bad habits because we know what to expect. But the nicest things happen when we thing outside the box.
It’s becoming a good habit of mine, to walk around town with a friend, my dog and my camera. Usually, you are so familiar with the place you live in that several things can get unnoticed, especially small things. Today marks the first anniversary of the collapse of the Ponte Morandi in Genoa.
On August 14th, 2018, on the eve of the Italian holiday of Ferragosto, the road viaduct that connected different areas of the city of Genoa partially collapsed, killing 43 people. The bridge has been demolished last July and now the city and the region have started the works to build a new bridge where the old one was.

Today marks the second anniversary of the collapse of the bridge. A new bridge, called Genova San Giorgio (as the patron saint of the city) has been built in its place and was inaugurated on August 3, 2020.
Today the families of the victims met the representatives of the states to commemorate the tragedy and to ask once again for an answer about the causes and the responsibilities of the collapse.
