This gorgeous dude is just. So. Sweet! Taz is 7 years old, 70 pounds, with a lot of heart…and currently no family to share it with!
Volunteers love spending time with this guy, who takes treats gently, and really seems to crave affection. He has the cutest “longing” look he gives when being petted.
Taz is easy going and calm, and a generally docile dude. He has been at the shelter since coming in as an owner surrender on 5/24/21. Taz’s previous owner had him since he was a puppy and shared that he is well behaved in the house and in the yard and is housetrained. This boy is also a smarty- sit, down, stay, give paw- he’s got it covered!
While at the shelter, Taz participated in playgroup. He seems to prefer a calm group. Volunteers think he may be suited for a home with another mellow dog, or happily as the only dog.
It’s time for Taz to make his way outta there, and get good and cozy with his forever fam! Come give this guy the love and head scratches he deserves! Call about Taz today!

Hayward, California: Nena first entered the shelter back in April. After having a home for the first 7 years of her life to now spending so much time in the shelter, she has become quite stressed and is seeking someone somewhere who can give her a routine with some TLC!
She’s the sweetest girl ever, she loves to give kisses, be right by your side, and is a great companion for a stroll.
She is fascinated by the outdoors, knows sit, shake, down, and is food motivated if the treats are tasty enough!

This is my 8 week old Black German Shepherd. He doesn’t have a name yet…but we will figure it out. Only one of his ears has come up…and it makes him quite adorable.

Taking a short break from my theme this month to remember a friend. Winky of Winky Rides passed away on Thursday and I wanted to do something for his owner, Sandy. Winky and Sandy were basically local celebrities. They rode around town in Sandy’s motorcycle and collected donations for our SPCA and took part in tons of charity events over the years.
The photos were borrowed from the FB page linked above, and the drawing was referenced from a photo on that page as well.
