Now that the amazingly awesome @lgbtduckzine is no longer on sale, I can post my contribution! I don’t make a lot of comics these days, the time investment is hard to manage! But I love Goldie and Brigitta and I thought they would make a lovely couple, meeting at Scrooge’s ill-fated Christmas party back in the 1970s.
There’s all sorts of references to stuff, hopefully you can spot them!
I was inspired by “The Fortuneteller”, an ATLA episode, where there was the character of Meng, a girl who had a crush for Aang and she “stalkered” and followed him everywhere (like a certain female duck, in disney italian comics, if not worse ). And a certain scene betwen Aang, Katara and Meng (who knows what it is ) pushed me to do a similar thing with Scrooge, Goldie and Brigitta .

In the first, set in Tatooine, a young Scrooge and a fourteen Goldie while they’re playing, the day before the Boonta Eve; and in the second a nineteen Scrooge and a beautiful Goldie who spend some time together in Naboo, while their love grows little by little (here is set in Ep. II, obviously).
I really love them, and I love drawing arts on just these two so much ! But don’t worry: soon I will draw some arts on the other characters, such as Ludwig Von Kenobi, Donald Skyduck, Della Quackana, Drake Molo, ecc. !
After reading many times “The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck” by Don Rosa, I have developed several thoughts and headcanons about Scrooge and Goldie (warnings: references to sex, nothing explicit):
1- I am absolutely convinced that Scrooge was very virgin, before he met Goldie, because at that time the only ways straight men had to have sex with women were or go to prostitutes, or being married (I’m not an historian, but I’m pretty sure things were more or less like this); and Scrooge wasn’t the type to spend money in brothels (prostitutes obviously didn’t work for free), and this is subtly hinted at in some parts in “The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck”, in particular when he was in Dawson. Also I think Scrooge was a man/duck who didn’t care about sex at all, his only interests were to make money and help his family, period. Obviously things changed when he met Goldie and spent the whole month with her at the White Agony Creek (in particular, at the end of the month, if you know what I’m talking about …);
2- I think Goldie was the only time he got interested in women and sex. I really don’t think he has ever interested or fallen in love with other women, after her, I think he’s like Severus Snape in HP: a man who loves only one woman for the rest of his life (obviously I am referring only to Don Rosa’s universe). I really think he still loves her, after all this time (and apparently Don Rosa thinks the same as I do);
3- Instead, I think Goldie was most likely the experienced partner, I mean c’mon, it’s always she who takes the initiative, especially with kisses, Scrooge never kisses her first, NEVER. He’s a total naive (and an adorable idiot);
4- I like to think Goldie is slightly older than Scrooge, like three years (there is no particular reason, I just like it ).
I swear, hearing those words brought him to those tears. He’s got all his excuses and I think he’s afraid he’s still going to lose her. But there she is, telling him she understands and most importantly- she’ll wait. She’ll always wait for him. I think it just completely disarms him to the point he tears up. To know that, that she’s willing to wait for him. It means the damn world.
No context here, but i was inspired by thinking about the mini comic series that i still wanna do from last year (lol), so i consider this as an alternative situation (???

For a while i was thinking of an idea to draw with this song (it’s so pretty and heartbreaking ;;; ) and this came to my head! I placed it at some point during “Last Sled to Dawson”, when they were staying at Goldie’s hotel and well …
