I’m still grieving us

Since last time, we reflected on how we are always foolishly worrying about things that are already provided by God. We worry about our food, our safety, our financial problems, our health when we know that we only have to depend on God and trust Him that He is always there for us. After all, all things work together for the good of His people. Now, we will then look back to the time of King David. Our verse today is King David’s prayer. This is such a nice verse because it reflects both our dependence and our awe of God.
This verse points us to the right mindset that everything we have right now is not ours, but of God. David was a good king, and we all know that a king almost has everything. However, he was able to declare and question what he had during that time. He was able to see and understood that everything he can offer and everything he has, came from God. He knows that the faithfulness, the faith, the generosity, in short, everything he had was a gift from God. Even his faithfulness and obedience are still grace and mercy from God. So it is just fully right to give God what is rightfully His.
Therefore, we must always remember to be good and to always remember that everything we have now is from God. What we own, what we call our own comes from God. Even David, who was a good king recognized that his achievements and everything he own came from God. Thus, may we be like David, may we always put in our mind that our achievements and everything we own came from our God. We did not achieve all of these on our own, but it was because of the grace of God, and only because of Him we can have all these things. So, let us not forget to thank Him and to give Him everything that is rightfully His– glory, honor, praises, adoration, and more.

Oneself is not found by maternal treasure but the treasure found within the soul.
Something I really struggle with is comparing myself to other Christians. Lately there seems to be a trend of what I’ll call “aesthetic Christianity”. A picture perfect Christian life portrayed on Instagram, and I am NOT saying there’s anything wrong with having a nice Instagram. In fact, it’s awesome that people are sharing their faith so boldly! What I’m trying to say is just because you don’t have a closet full of “Faith” T-shirts, or thousands of Instagram followers doesn’t mean you’re failing as a Christian. You don’t have to look like that beautiful Christian blogger, or be as successful as Sadie Robertson (no shade, the girl is awesome!!), to be who God called you to be. The Bible tells us to imitate Christ, not other people in the world. So don’t spend time worrying about looking like other Christians, instead make sure you’re doing your best to reflect Christ.

Drew this cat as a kid.
Years later, a orange and black cat slips through the window into the home of a friend. As soon as this happens, she calls me and tells me the cat on the street that we always saw came into her home! I dropped all the drama I was going through at that time and made my way to the home. This cat always told us stories through her interactions with other cats on the street so I was pretty excited to meet her
I made it to the home and she was just chilling. She showed me love after warming up to me. Naming her came to mind. At first I thought of “Leona”, but she didn’t really give me a response to it.
Then a vision of the picture on the left came to mind.
“Yuri?” Came out my mouth. Her ears perked up.
“Yuri!” She started to respond.
“OMG your name is YURI!” She seemed so happy to see that I remembered.
I manifested this kitty when I was a kid.
Watch how this street cat that I’ve never met prior to the video she responds to the name and treats me.
