door lock is a classic thriller movie, where gong hyojin plays an ordinary OL who works as a bank teller and lives alone in seoul. seeing her door lock look different from how she leaves it in the morning every day, she begins to suspect someone has been living in her house and goes on a hunt that spirals to find the culprit. it is no genre-bending social commentary, and provokes little to ruminate over after, but it is a textbook-perfect thriller piece that constantly builds up tension. – 7/10
