Dear followers and friends,

as you might have noticed, tumblr will update its guidelines on the 17th of December and will not allow any adult content to be posted to the site.

As this blog is focused on exactly this type of content and tumblr does not offer any workaround or alternative, this blog is effectively being shut down - as are thousands of other, great blogs. I firmly believe that tumblr is not doing itself any favors as adult content is undoubtedly a huge, if not major, part of why people visit the site in the first place.

To my knowledge, there is nothing I - or other blog owners - can do about that. I also cannot offer you any alternatives. Setting up a separate blog on a dedicated website would be too much work for me to handle on top of the obligations I have with university, a part-time job and my other hobbies. 

Any pictures that are currently on this blog will most likely be removed. If you have any favorites, save them or they might be gone forever.

Other than that, there is nothing left for me than to say “Goodbye” and leave a big thank you to everyone who followed, reposted, shared and liked the content I uploaded.

This was a place of expression for my wife and lately for me as hub taking over from her. Tumblr decided to end explicit images aka “porn” / “erotica”, can’t even express how odd this feels on the verge of an approval of article 13.

hey guys, so i have a couple things to talk to you about. 

i’m leaving this account and going on a hiatus for writing prompts. simply put, it’s just not what i want my blog to be on tumblr for now. it was just too tiring and a lot to keep up with. 

i will still keep this account just in case i decide to go back to prompt writing, but for now i’m moving to another blog i made. 

my new blog is @thefandomhighqueen and will be dedicated to young-adult novels like Throne of Glass, Six of Crows, ACOTAR, The Grishaverse, The Cruel Prince, things like that and what comes along the way.

don’t be afraid to say hi to me over there, or yell at me for not doing anymore prompts.

@staff It is incredible how in 2018 you decided to close every porn blog on your platform.

Not only you signed your “death” sentence, since the vast majority of your blogs is about porn and and a lot of non-related porn blogs likes this site because of them

Not only you basically fired every AMAZING artist there is on this platform that draws porn(or even tits), you have also reduced his/her opportunity to get new jobs and now they have to move to other platforms losing THOUSANDS of followers, which are their monthly income btw

Not only you made yourself responsible of a very fascist move, but I guess that’s okay for you since you don’t ban their blogs

You showed yourselves as people who can’t do their job, because you decided it was best to hide the problem instead of resolving it; but that wasn’t enough too.

And I’m sorry for every people that gonna lose their jobs,because this crazy action you did is gonna result in less traffic in your app and in your website, hence less work, hence firings.

All Good Things…

I’ve not posted much of late and I’ve come to the conclusion that my heart just isn’t into it any more. So, this will be the last post. I’ll leave the blog up for anyone who wants. But, this, as they say, is the end.

As of today blackpinkofficial will be officially closing.

I’m so proud of the work that all of the staff, new and old, have done to make this blog what it is. We wanted to create a space where tumblr blinks could find quick and easy updates on BLACKPINK and we’ve done just that. It’s been an honor but… we’re not the same staff that we were back when BLACKPINK were active. In fact, I (admin Aly) am the only person that really updates anything lately. I’ve tried scouting for mods but no one is really wanting to update, which I’m not complaining about at all!

There comes a point in time where everything must eventually come to an end. While this ending is very bittersweet for us and it’s going to take some time to get used to not updating BLACKPINK’s every move, I think it will be beneficial in the long run. Those that have worked on this blog have come from all walks of life just to update on four amazing and talented girls and I think that’s something to celebrate as we close things down.

On a more personal note, I’ve been working on blackpinkofficial since the spring of 2017 and working as an active admin since the winter of 2017. Five years of my life has been dedicated to not only BPO but BLACKPINK! I will never stop loving the girls, that’s one thing you can count on, but it’s time for me to move on. With a full time job and college courses on top of that, there’s just no time for me to update you all anymore.

I want to say thank you to those that have followed us for years and to those that have just stumbled across our blog recently. It’s because of you guys that blackpinkofficial has over 97k followers! I so desperately wanted to wait it out until BPO hit 100k with you all but sadly we won’t be making it that far anymore. You have no idea what this blog means to me. It’s been like my baby since I became an admin. Every morning I check our inbox, then I check our Twitter update list to see what I need to update or if I need to update. I know I’ve made a lot of jokes here and there about YG and I hope that those jokes made you guys laugh. There have also been moments where I’ve come across as mean or rude and I apologize for that. 

I know we all have been waiting and waiting for a comeback. We always seem to have to wait and it’s very exhausting but waiting with you all made it somehow worth it. BLACKPINK have brought together almost 100,000 of you on this website and I hope that you continue to support them, we know that we will. 

Again, thank you! I hope you all are happy in whatever the future holds for you.
