Here is my absurd gallery of recipe photos. Every recipe here has been eaten, prominently featured, or (in a few cases) mentioned on Steven Universe or Steven Universe Future.

Recipes I did not make would include a) stuff eaten that wasn’t really food (usually); b) stuff that was drawn as background art or incidentally; c) food that shows up again and again if I’ve already made it once; d) stuff that only appeared in comics or games; e) sentient food (usually), unless it was eaten (this is more of a problem in Steven Universe than most people recognize).

When life feels to confining

When you need to get out of the confinement of

Life

An old truck

Is all you need to untangle

All the pent up stress

Of life

A place out past the map

With only the sound of the radio and engine

Driving without a destination in mind

Uncontained

Unchained

Un-bothered

Sometimes

It is just the ticket

A long drive to nowhere

Passing barns and fields

Nodding to the cows

Dipping a hat to the farmers

Un-effected by the slow tractors.

Fandom: MCU/Marvel – Pairing:  Steve Rogers & Bucky Barnes & Tony Stark – Rating: General   – Word Count 321

Tony knew he had food back at the house, since he and Rhodey had made a grocery run over the weekend.  But he also knew that after an all-nighter followed by back to back exams, he couldn’t be trusted around any type of food prep equipment or utensils.  Running purely on caffeine and spite at this point, he was starving.  As he cut across the quad, Tony was resigning himself  to sub-standard cafeteria fare when he spotted a red, white and blue food truck parked at the corner.   

“Brooklyn Burgers” was emblazoned on the side, with a stylized New York City skyline done up in vibrant color behind the logo.  The scent of meat, cheese and onions hit Tony right where he lived.  He sprinted toward the truck as he fumbled in his backpack for his wallet.  “Oh my god,” he exclaimed, inhaling deeply. “I can’t wait to get my mouth around some of that!” 

“I’m flattered,”  Tony looked up at the food truck’s window to see an absolutely gorgeous man whose bright blue eyes were crinkling with amusement,   “but I suspect you’re talking about what’s on the menu.” 

Tony could feel his cheeks turning pink.  “Sorry - when I’ve got low blood sugar , I lose what little brain-to-mouth filter I have.” He was babbling, he knew it, but couldn’t help himself.   “I have to admit that I’m a total slut for cheeseburgers.”    I mean, give me a juicy hunk of meat between two buns and I’m all yours.” 

“Well, if Stevie can’t help ya,”  a second voice drawled,  “I’d be more than happy to try to satisfy your appetite.”   Another stunning example of manhood stepped up to the window,  his long dark hair pulled back into a messy bun.  He  leaned down over the counter and gave Tony a sultry look. “Just tell us how you want it, darlin’.’”     

Tony couldn’t resist.   “Double stacked,” he purred,  “and everything goes.”
