The return of the garden, which is flourishing, in this episode implies that Gregory has been secretly gardening for the past several months and Jacob and Barbara still have no idea. This better be a reveal in like three seasons after making it a running gag, because it’ll be comedy gold
i actually think that gregory is an accurate depiction of a child
his character could def be a bit more fleshed out but given he’s probably been homeless for a while now, his rough and tough kind of attitude mixed with a few times where he seems frightened works well for me
people seem to forget that kids CAN act independently if they desire. he sees opportunities to defend himself and takes them and, surprise surprise, kids DO lie (gregory lying to freddy). he’s a kid and god forbid that a child character ACTS like a child.
i prefer feral homeless child softening up to a robo bear dad instead of whatever the hell the popular security breach theories are rn this kid whose probably gone through a lot and feels like the world is against him can finally find comfort in something thats not even human, i love it
