With Spooky Season nearly in full swing, I saw this as a perfect excuse to finally do an application I’ve wanted to do forever, Frankenstein’s Monster, inspired by the 1931 classic.

I found this foam latex prosthetic forehead from Woochie FX and made a pair of neck bolts from wooden dowel wrapped in aluminum tape for that metallic finish.

The makeup was a combination of Kryolan watercolors, creams, and eyeshadows, and the costume was finished off with some sports padding to bulk me up, a black suit, zombie gloves and platform boots to give me a truly monstrous stature.

Welcome to my nightmare!

Freddy Krueger is my all time favorite 80s slasher, and one of my earliest horror cosplays.

Of course, his infamous scared visage is a huge obstacle for a proper Freddy cosplay, and unless you can afford to spend hundreds on the perfect makeup, masks are your best option, and even then your budget options are limited.

I got very lucky and found this foam latex mask from Greyland Film which perfectly captures Robert Englund’s likeness, especially after giving it a repaint.

The glove was also made from scratch out of aluminum (And it took me over five years to get around to finishing).

“I am… Dracula.”

To kick off the Halloween season, I’ve decided to channel my inner Bela Lugosi and do the iconic Count Dracula from the 1931 classic.

This was such fun to wear, as I’m a massive fan of vintage formal wear, and the makeup was one of the things I was looking forward to the most as well.

These photos were shot at the gates of Bohemian National Cemetery in Chicago, the perfect location for such a macabre character.

“I bring you love!”

The Springfield Files may be my favorite episode of The Simpsons, and it probably scared me much more than any Halloween episode.

Alien Mr Burns absolutely TERRIFIED me as a child, so I decided to confront my childhood fears and cosplay the “alien”.

You thought we could be decent men in an indecent time…but you were wrong! The world is cruel. And the only morality in a cruel world is chance. Unbiased, unprejudiced, fair.

Two Face makeup and costume that I did for Halloween at Kryolan City Chicago.

This look features a custom bald cap appliance, as well as two latex prosthetic pieces from Woochie FX. The whole thing was build up with Kryolan liquid latex and then painted with Kryolan Aquacolor and Supracolor.

Junkies! Last week I had a Scooby Doo shoot with @ladybuwan as Velma and me as Captain Cutler’s Ghost.

I made this dive suit well over a year ago and I’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to shoot it, and this time of year proved to be perfect.

Thank you so much to our Velma @ladybuwan and our photographer @sparrowstyle

Last Monday, to welcome Halloween, I did an Addams Family shoot with me as Gomez Addams and @ladybuwan as Morticia Addams.

This was so much fun to shoot, with our shooting locations being the lobby of the Palmer House and the Walnut Room at Macy’s in downtown Chicago.
