the priory stood beautiful. they took the stones down by king’s order. the skin of god’s homes is taut like leather and worked like a tender back. it’s made of the finest stone, cut to size perfectly, everlasting in its quality and its straight edges, its perfect curves. i heard they came all the way to the mountains’ births for the stone. they brought in masons from rome. the stones were taken by king’s order. the rocks underneath are what’s left. flint and pebbles, a chaotic, heavy, hidden boneset with pockets of air.
