Has anyone had experience with upping their calories and still maintaining weightloss? I am currently considering upping them because I feel like I may be eating too low and it is causing me to think about food a lot and sometimes leads to me overeating. I just really want to find an amount of calories that still allows me to lose weight but what I feel good on mentally.

Every wednesday I am going to record my weight here. I will write reminders on my phone to make sure I do it. I also need to do it even when progress is slow or not happening. I have found recently that I only post if I am feeling motivated but I really want to be open and honest about my struggles.

On that note, I had a binge last week. It sucks and I was mad at myself for it, but I am trying to get over it and move on. I am back on track now and feeling more motivated.

A weight update will be coming this wednesday.

weight update: 79.5kg

I have two weeks and four days until Christmas day. My goal is to hit 77kg by that time. I realise that I probably will not be hitting my goal of 75kg by the end of the year but that just means I have a goal to hit in 2021. I am feeling really motivated at the moment. The lockdown here in Germany has probably helped me stay on track as I have few distractions to derail my progress. I will be doing weight updates the next two mondays before christmas.

I hope everyone else is doing well!

weight: 79.8kg

November started out well. The first week I was calorie counting and cycling an average of 18k a day. However the scales did not show that and I just stalled at around 79.3kg. This past week has been a bit lazier. Last saturday and sunday I ate carbs (a lot of them) which made my weight spike up to 80 again.

I am getting very frustrated at myself for sabotaging my progress. I so desperately wanted to hit 75kg by New Years but I just can’t see it happening at the rate I am going. I always knew losing weight when I got down to lower numbers would be harder, but I didn’t realise it would be this hard.

Anyway I am going back to basics and doing what I did last year this time. Keto and lots of walking. I am going to try and find another form of exercise I can do indoors incase the weather is bad, some kind of HIIT or strength training. I have readjusted my goal to hit 77kg by Christmas. I know if I put in the effort I can do it.

I measured my waist and I’ve lost 2cm since last measuring! A small change but definitely happy about it. Sitting at 80.4kg right now. Had another spike up over the weekend. I’ve decided I’m staying in this weekend and pushing through till Halloween. Dabbling with some fasting. Just done two days of OMAD and will probably transition into a shorter fast like 18/20hr depending on how I feel. Feeling fairly positive about things. Just desperate to get in the 70s and stay there! I keep yo-yoing in and out.

Anyone else on the Strava app? I’ve just downloaded it and would love to follow some more accounts.

Weight update: 80.5kg

Still in the 80s. The weight is coming off slow but I definitely feel changes in my body. I’ve been working out a lot lately and doing different exercises so I think my body is building muscle which is awesome!

Also been doing one meal a day just because it seems to work well for me mentally. Only eating in one hour means I just completely put food out of my mind for the rest of the day which means I am far less likely to overeat. Hitting the 23 hour fast feels like a challenge for me to hit each day.

I still eat around 1400 calories in the hour when I eat. I accidently only ate 1000 yesterday and definitely felt it in my work out today so I am going to have to make sure I hit my calorie goals.

Weight update: 80.6kg.

So close to hitting my second weight goal of 80kg. Despite the plateaus and stalls I feel like I’ve managed to get through the 80s really quickly.

I hit 89kg in March and now it’s the beginning of June and I’m nearly hitting 79kg.

I still can’t believe I’m so close to being in the 70s. It doesn’t feel real.

Surpassed my lowest weight recorded on myfitnesspal.

In 2017 on the 24th of May I was 81.7kg

Today I hit 81.6kg. Seeing that graph surpass that low is so satisfying. I can’t wait for even more progress!

Progress update.

Starting weight: 111kg

Current weight: 81.8kg

Things are going well, the lockdown, as boring as it may be, has helped me with losing weight. Temptations have been taken away (such as drinking or eating out) which means I’ve kept to my diet a lot more religiously.

I’m hoping I hit the 70s before my birthday (27th of June). That would be a nice gift to myself.

So close to my next goal of 80kg.

I can’t believe where I started and where I am now.

I am perfect evidence of if I can do it, anyone can. I was a classic yo-yo dieter and binge eater.

Even though I’m still not 100% there with my relationship to food and bingeing, I am in a way better place than I was and I feel I am improving everyday.

It’s all about finding what works best for you and sometimes it takes time but never give up.
