whatare you afraid of the dark is a weekly podcast focusing on true crime, the supernatural, and the weird and wild. with deep dives into some of histories craziest stories, it’s one of the top breadwinners of the hooplaorganization, and often times what draws viewers and listeners in to the website.
it’s been going strong for about four years now, and has started to perform live shows in the santa cruz area. the comedy helps offset the dark and often disturbing content, and with the true crime boom, it seems everyone’s always clamoring for more.
wherethe podcast records in their own studio, and while the hosts do the majority of their own research ( with the help of interns and other hoopla staff ), they reside in the primary creative team open office space.
whothe team behind ‘ayaotd’ is a three man operation - the ‘audience’, the researcher, and the exuberant investigator. together, they make a team that’s engaging, enthralling, and becoming more and more popular as time goes on. ( currently all three positions are open. )
