Ya’ll probably know this piece. I’ve been making some color changes lately but let me tell you few interesting facts behind this painting. This is s real place, a shot of a canyon in Armenia. Since there have been pretty serious earthquakes in the past you can see a vast majority of canyons like these. I was so mesmerized by them. It was definetely one of my favorite and most memorable moments seeing those nature wonders.
Let me tell you something about the tribe that character of Roe was based on. It’s called Umman Manda (Akkadian for the horde from who knows where)it is a term used in the early second and first millennia BC for a poorly known people in the Ancient Near East.
Anyway–ya’ll heard of Amazon warriors♀️ Do you know where they came from? From Scythian tribes (Eurasian nomads). So as Roe. This battle scene will be a portrayal of many wars between Scythian tribes.

1. “Just over two years ago I was facing redundancy”, Charles Waller explains, “from one of those large city companies and wondering what to do with myself. Then had the light bulb moment and thought about doing something I have always had a passion for, photography. Not the easiest thing to jump into at 53 years old but with some redundancy money and a lot of soul searching I decided to make the leap of faith and dust off the camera.”
Now, this talented photographer has started to work with equestrian related businesses. He does not only shoots horses but also liveries, riding schools and likes fashion photography: “I receive requests from all over the country and the diary is getting more and more booked up as time moves on.
