I have yet to see an episode of Stranger Things, but even sight unseen it has my respect for getting Kate Bush’s classic 1985 album Hounds of Love (and its best known single, Running Up That Hill) back to the top of the charts. Hopefully this will springboard into a revival of her other albums and famous recordings (she may be iconic, but Running Up That Hill was still pretty much the only major hit she ever had in the US, but she has so many other recordings deserving of success outside the UK). And I still still there’s a Black Mirror (or Inside No. 9?) episode to be made of her song “Experiment IV”. With Hugh Laurie starring, of course (watch the music video for context).
