Dan and I bought a thing called “long ziti” from the local Weird Bargain Store, largely as a joke, but…. I have never had a more unsettling pasta experience in my life. They wouldn’t bend enough to cook from top to bottom simultaneously, and while they were cooking boiling water kept spouting out from the tops of them out of the pot, like a boiling pipe organ. Then they were so long and floppy and hoselike that we couldn’t pick them up with anything other than tongs, and then they were so long and unwieldy that it was basically impossible to sauce them without them all slithering out of the bowl like wet snakes. They then proceeded to cool down almost completely within the the seconds it took to walk to the living room. Eating them was like eating a bowl full half melted drinking straws.

alright u know what,,, i’m gonna do it. i’m gonna talk about bakugou katsuki next, whose primary love language is acts of service (with gifts and physical touch as secondaries !!)
bakugou katsuki who doesn’t even realize how much he pays attention to the most seemingly insignificant details, who figures out your eating habits so he can always finish dinner just before you stomach starts to growl, who can tell exactly how much cream and sugar to add to your coffee just by watching the way you roll out of bed in the morning, who always checks the right pocket of your favorite jacket before doing the laundry because you probably left your chapstick in there yet again. every time you ask how he can predict so much about you, he simply dismisses it as a “wild guess”. but you both know it’s far more than just guesswork.
bakugou katsuki who is always one step ahead and subsequently makes your life easier, who finds a solution to your problem within minutes when it feels like you’ve been stuck on it for ages, who sneaks off to the store when he hears you complain about the groceries you had forgotten to pick up on your way home, who gets up an hour early to tidy up the house when he can tell that you’re not looking forward to doing it yourself. he tells himself that he doesn’t expect any reward, and seeing you relax after a burden has been lifted off your shoulders is more than enough. but he’d be lying to say he doesn’t cherish the extra affection you offer in return, a gentle kiss against the corner of his lips that makes his chest grow warm.
bakugou katsuki who wordlessly insists on taking care of you on a regular basis, who always shows up with his best homemade soup when you’re sick because it gives you so much instant relief, who passive-aggressively reminds you to drink more water if he notices that you haven’t had enough, who closes your computer when you’ve been studying for too long, ignoring your protests that you have an upcoming exam, who practically drags you to bed with him once it’s past eleven and won’t let go of you until you’ve fallen asleep. and no matter how much you tease him for acting like he’s your mother, your well-being will always be his first priority.
bakugou katsuki who would arguably do just about anything to make you happy, who makes your favorite breakfast every day because he loves the satisfied hum you let out as you take the first bite, who takes you to the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion even though you’ve never once mentioned it being your favorite, who tags along when you go on a shopping spree because — as much as there are a million other things he’d rather be doing — he knows you enjoy his company, and he, admittedly, really enjoys yours.
bakugou katsuki, who’s a bit too stubborn sometimes to say how much he loves and cares for you, but he hopes that the things he does for you are enough to get the message across.
for me it was the pan to the handcuffs on the ground. because it’s the perfect metaphor for their situation, this thing that forced them to stay together, that made them get mad at each other, that forced them to work together, that made them soften to each other. that kinn had the ability, for so long, to break, he could’ve let go, he could’ve freed him. but he held on for as long as he could, for as long as his selfishness and hopeful, wishful thinking would let him, because he didn’t want to let him go. but he couldn’t avoid the truth forever, that keeping porsche with him was hurting him, that he hurt him, that he was taking this man’s joy and light and ruining it, keeping him trapped. this man that would sacrifice his life for him, would lose a hand for him, that’s proves to him, porsche can’t stay here, with him. he loves him too much for that, cares about his happiness too much for that. and he will not let this world ruin porsche like it has kinn. so he lets him go, gives him freedom, lets him leave the world that ruins his happiness. because the biggest act of love he can make, is to free porsche from the world that he cant escape from. give him happiness that he’ll never have.
strong chance that if i dwell on how kinn had to step into his older brother’s responsibilities and then watch his younger brother live out kinn’s youthful singing dream, i’ll lose my last marble and gang i just got it shiny
Okay but there is no longer any need for me to question the existence of these new movies. This is priceless. This is worth it. This is on point and I love it.
