I likes the bits of Sola’s expressions we got from the dragon age 4 preview, and I decided I wanted to see him cry hahaha. Sorry for the extra angsty start of the year post, it hurst so good tho : P

Some of my boards for Gabriele Pennacchioli’s Shapeshifters episode of Love, Death & Robots. Gabriele wanted this to be one continuous shot, so after my rough thumbnail pass, he and his artists at Blur provided the CG layout for me to tie down the characters over.
It’s pretty gruesome in places.
These are my boards for an early version of DreamWorks’ abandoned Larrikins.
At the time the movie was being directed by Tim Minchin and Alessandro Carloni.
I keep putting off actually making comic pages cuz I don’t wanna stop drawing story boards…. I love how cute everyone always looks

So today I thought it’d be fun to make this Queen Storyboard real quick! This is not gonna be a full video!!
These are the full color scripts from the confrontation scene of my story, “Journey to the C.O.R.E.”

My main character, Jess, seeks the ghost of her school, Clementine, who resides in the janitor’s closet regarding her best friend that’s been missing for days (and no one remembers him, not even his parents!). Clementine talks about her friends as one of the ppl who are selected to take care of Earth and how Earth affects ppl from the center (a guardian basically).

I got the method of color scripts from my Pixar art book. They are used to convey the mood and atmosphere of a scene.
Howdy~ As promised this is my step by step animations process!
I got the idea/ prompt from my friend @unclenocturnal
The animation is figured is very similar to the cover art used for the first volume of rampid:
So i figured id base it around that.
Next, i got the story board:
After the story board was drawn up, i sat down and made a more ref worth model sheet of yukiko:
After the prep i was ready to animate~
I animate with toon boom (which i still need to get the hang of, but its a awesome program!
First, i got down how the movements would go and the composition of the animation.
next after that, a bit more detail sketch of animation and movement with more frames
next came the lineart~
then came color, walk movment and logo
and finally, the smoke effect and the second logo an the confetti! All in all this took me a long time lol, but i look forward to doing more animations in the future!
Question advice or critiqes are always welcome :3
Hey everybody, sorry for the lack of news! the reason is that I am working full time on my personal animated project. I spent few weeks on the story board already and I hope to start the serious color research Asap. I ll tell you guys more about the project soon ( but in few words this is an electronic music animated short in a futuristic environment ). Cheers!!
