I have actually been drawing quite a lot but its all been personal projects and redraws of old anime fanart. I hope blupjeans week tomorrow will get me into the habit of posting again! Anyway sorry for posting catgirl.

I created my OC Kagami when I was 12 so that’s around 13 years ago with the story I have in mind. I began drawing her (traditionally) since 2009 then drew her again when I started drawing digitally more in 2011. I should have painted a lot of pieces of her and my other characters but my time got divided to the zodiac girls, fan arts and commissions. I still need to finalize her character design as well.
From 2011-2013 I used Painttool SAI, then 2014 I switched to Photoshop, been using it ever since :)

My redraw of Bowsette. I try to redraw her around once per year if I’m able too. I really proud how I have improved over time. I hope to continue this progress as I create more art.

So yeah practice really does make perfect. Still far from perfect but I’m always improving.

Time for the good old annual art summary! 2018 was a weird year for all of us, that’s for sure. I enjoyed playing with lineless digital art and limited color palettes this year, even if I got a little distracted by other creative pursuits. Next year I want to keep working on improving contrast and color harmony. Thanks to everyone who supported me this year!
