Only in Japanese, but has a nice tea company film. Tranquil and worth to watch. “Tsubaki” means camellia FYI.

京都伏見の椿堂竹聲。伏見稲荷大社御用達。煎茶、スイーツ、室礼、どれも良い。また訪れたい。

Did you know?: The words “koi” and “Nishikigoi” come from the Japanese words 鯉 (carp) and 錦鯉 (brocaded carp), respectively. In Japanese, “koi” is a homophone for 恋, another word that means “affection” or “love”, so koi are symbols of love and friendship in Japan.

“Kinmei-Moso-Chiku” (Phyllostachys pubescens var. nabeshimana) belongs to Poaceae (the Grass family). It is a variety of "Moso-Chiku” introduced into Japan from the Jiangnan region of China. The culms are sunny yellow with green vertical stripes.

The cherry tree bloom at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden is picking up steam. To check where the trees are in their blossoming, see the BBG’s Cherry Watch feature on its website. (This photo is from last year.) Coming up: the garden’s annual Sakura Matsuri, which highlights traditional Japanese arts, dance, and food, is April 29–30, rain or shine. : @ty_iv for @NYCgo
