Just thought I should post some of the drawings from my “Juniper Lee style” practice series where I draw other favourite toons in the Juniper Lee show style.
You know as they say… a June a day keeps the doctor away! I’ve actually been so busy I’ve barely had time to even doodle a June into a notebook corner. But I feel kind of refreshed after my bday~ Cheers to new years~! ✨
maybe she looks too young for the FusionFall verse in the first but the 2nd and 3rd images are kind of more solid Junes & i like the newer Zak doodle cuz it’s so dramatic…
i’ve been living under a rock for a while now and i just still love this au concept pls give it a read if you love angst like me
so Juniper Lee is one of those cartoons that took a very long time through the concept stages and i found some old art of Juniper drawn by Judd Winick, creator of the show and just felt inspired a bit cuz the way June dresses totally reminds me of the way me and other kids used to dress at that age and how I used to draw my own characters with just a t-shirt/jeans combo and sketchers.
So I tried to combine the concept clothing and the show’s official style.
ok in the midst of reading about shows/series needing villains, i’m back to my musings about the JLee series having a more permanent/prominent villain or villains…… i wonder if the show had been more popular if it had had something like that instead of a few recurring villains?
lol, also…. realized that if there’d been foreshadowing of Roon’s return in season 3 (beyond like… .a tv schedule season preview or something), maybe the 3rd season would have been even more exciting and the finale a bit less out of nowhere? this is definitely something to consider if there’s ever a reboot/ continuation of the series.

Finally cleaned up these scans a bit :’) Did these around the same time as the Ben10 + June in RTA style sketches. …don’t have time to color them but hope you like!

After the American Dragon art I did, I tried drawing these characters in the RTA style too.
I thought for a few weeks that I’d forgotten to scan this and would now have to scan a version where I’d accidentally ruined the other side, but luckily I did scan it way way long ago and here’s that! These were really fun to try and figure out after the studies I’d done for Jake and Rose.
Just some more recent sketches - this time it’s just me practising Juniper in the Danny Phantom style + figuring out what her design could actually be in that universe. Fun times! Finally I draw Juniper in another style again! All of these are just straight up re-draws of existing screen shots or promo material:
