If I didn’t know Cal and Mare’s birthdays I would say that Mare is a Leo and Cal is a Capricorn. Oh and Kilorn gives me Libra vibes.

I don’t understand why it’s so hard for authors to write a boy best friend character who’s only that. Why does he always have to end up falling for the main girl?

I love the way this looks on my shelf and the gorgeous blue ombre and cover art! But I’m so sad for the conclusion to this amazing series. So far it’s started strong and I look forward to devouring every second of it!

Kilorn: Mare’s my best friend in the entire world. We even share a toothbrush!!!!!

Mare, looking across the room: Wew h a t

Mare: *refuses to bow to king and queen, ruins Queenstrial, joins secret revolutionary group, has an affair with the crown prince, gets friends captured, stages coup, gets friends captured, accidentally helps Elara and Maven kill the king, accidentally gets boyfriend/crown prince arrested*

Mare: Nothing but respect for MY monarchy :))))

Kilorn, explaining what happened to Mare at the end of Glass Sword: So we didn’t save the golden chest, but the real treasure was the memories we made along the way.

Cal: I almost died!
