Available at Firebox Art Studios in Carnegie PA. WHERE THE LEMON TREES BLOOM 32.A show stopping, bold view from the series based on music and poetry. This painting by Kim McAninch was created with oil, ink, oil pastel and pencil.  It is framed in a float frame with a gunmetal finish that enhances the colors of this gestural abstract painting.  Each view provides the viewer with more information, energy and depth.

“My wallpaper and design career has definitely informed my art. I designed in just about every style in respect to interiors and pattern design, so I feel that I have the experience and knowledge to move in many directions. I enjoy now that there is an absence of a set of requirements for my projects. But the very same elements are at play. I am free to use my own innovation with no justification, to explore that balance between representation and design.”

From the PROVINCES Series. 72"x48" oil ( and some other stuff;) on canvas. Available.

FEATURED! What a fantastic comparison and in some pretty good company! Thank you, Singulart-one of the online galleries that sell my work.

PROVINCES 3 72"X48" PROVINCES is a collection of abstract landscapes depicting fictional rural territories and countrysides of varying terrain.

An 8" square look into a 48"x72" addition to my PROVINCES Series. This will be only the third in the series. Will (hopefully) finish it today and load it to all of my marketplaces. “The PROVINCES Series began in 2019 and while limited, has never left my mind. It is a collection of abstract landscapes depicting fictional rural territories and countrysides of varying terrain. I suppose it is similar to the imagined WHERE THE LEMON TREES BLOOM, but I consider that I am building and arranging architectural components, not the natural environment. Straight lines of walls and roofs are juxtaposed to blur each structure. As is true of most of my work, the eye finds a way to read and make sense of the arranged shapes.” - Kim McAninch
