I wanted Kojima to come out at the Playstation event and drop Metal Gear 5 on my face but he didn’t.

ZOE was one of my very fist games on the PS2, I bought it specifically because it had the “Metal Gear Solid 2” demo disc included. But cool mechs were always a bonus.
Almost every painting I do, I plan on potentially making into a 2 or 3 piece set. I don’t know if that came from selling art (bundles always sell well) or if I just like painting “series” rather than one off pieces. I finished the Anubis painting a while back and am happy to finally have this finished and together as a pair. (Available online my store as well, link in bio)

I always liked that scene in the phantom trailer where “Big Boss” and Kaz were limping back to motherbase, shadows of their former selves and I know kojima wanted to envoke John Miltons poem “Paradise Lost” when lucifer and his army are cast out of heaven, and they plot revenge.
I used the trailer scene for reference because in the actual game the scene looks different, the lighting is more like midday than sundown.
In this version i digitally painted, i added cloud elements in the background to kind of symbolize the heaven they have been cast out of.
