Blade: Trinity(2004)

This is a Movie Health Community evaluation. It is intended to inform people of potential health hazards in movies and does not reflect the quality of the film itself. The information presented here has not been reviewed by any medical professionals.

Blade: Trinity has machine gun fire in dark environments, multiple scenes where the room lights flicker, and a minor strobe effect that happens as people disintegrate, which happens several times. The first scene has an unpredictable, extreme, and pointless strobe effect. There are brief strobe effects in the stylized opening and closing credits.

There is some peril at extreme heights. Outside of some fast camera work during action scenes, all of the camera work in this film is either stationary or very smooth.

Flashing Lights: 10/10. Motion Sickness: 2/10.

TRIGGER WARNING: A lot of blood is shown. Late in the film, three dogs are implied to die, with no resolution of whether or not they actually do.

Blade II(2002)

This is a Movie Health Community evaluation. It is intended to inform people of potential health hazards in movies and does not reflect the quality of the film itself. The information presented here has not been reviewed by any medical professionals.

Blade II has extreme and constant strobe lights through an extended nightclub scene, during which the scene cuts into and out of the strobe lights very suddenly several times. Various action sequences use machine guns. The title card at the beginning is shown with sudden and unpredictable strobe effects. A few brief moments depict a device that shines an extremely bright light with some flickering.

Most of the camera work in this film is either stationary or very smooth. There is some brief peril at extreme heights. The end fight has some camera movement that is faster than normal.

Flashing Lights: 10/10. Motion Sickness: 3/10.

TRIGGER WARNING: Excessive blood, with practical gore effects. There is an extremely graphic autopsy scene.

catseye-among-aggies:

Myself and Sally O’Shea

Without a penny in killKenny

flagging down a coach

Ragged as my knapsack

And as poor

Sally cadged a spot for us in a farmer’s wagon

Paddy gave us each A sip

to stop our Spirits Sagging

Told us We could ride til Tullamore

Drew my penny whistle from the bottom of my pack

I piped a tune As Sally sang the words

With the clopping of the horses’ hoof

And raindrops pounding on the roof

We piped and sang each ditty

That the farmer’d ever heard

Fancy free’s a way to say

You’ve lost all that you’ve owned

Ownership’s an overrated thing

Happiness was simple

When Sally trilled a lay

Pleasure was the most sufficient way

Sufficient to myself and Sally O’Shea

From the Vale of Glamorgan

to the hills of Ballyfoyle

Sally heard the hankerings of my heart

the day might be inclement

And our deeds inchoate

She was all I’d hoped for from the start

Till that time near Rosslare

She vanished from my sight

On a quest to find a resting place

Now I’d barter all my soul and the ending of my life

One more time to see my Sally’s face

Fancy free’s a way to say

You’ve lost all that you’ve owned

Ownership’s an overrated thing

Happiness was simple

When Sally trilled a lay

Pleasure was the most sufficient way

Sufficient to myself and Sally O’Shea
