Some mini gouache landscape paintings. I haven’t used real paints in a while and I’m still having a hard time getting used to mixing paints to get desired shades/hues..

Algy and the dragon waiting for spring raising

translated from a @adventuresofalgyphoto

Quel magnifique paysage!  Tellement plus vif et beau que le vrai - Algy et le petit dragon vert l'adorent   Merci beaucoup, mon ami

Algy and his little green dragon friend were utterly thrilled to see this gorgeous representation of their resting place by the burn painted by their kind and talented French painter @peintre-stephane  whose work is always so fabulously colourful and vibrant.

This glowing paysage is so much more lovely and colourful than the west Highland landscape actually is at this time of year (in reality almost entirely dull rusty browns and dirty yellows, where it isn’t just grey rock) - and the little green dragon is glowing even greener Just gorgeous - thank you so much❣️

Algy sends @peintre-stephane an extra special fluffy hug, with many more soft fluffy hugs for his lovely grandchildren xoxo

Fern Isabel Coppedge was an Impressionist painter who studied at Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and the Philadelphia School of Design for Women (now Moore College of Art & Design) before moving to New Hope, Pennsylvania, in 1929. She was one of the few women artists associated with the Pennsylvania Impressionist group and became well-known for her paintings of Bucks County landscapes, winter scenes, and marine subjects. This particular work depicts the harbor in Gloucester, Massachusetts, where she spent many summers. Although undated, the work’s imaginative color scheme suggests that Coppedge painted it fairly late in her career.

Thorald Brenstrup (May 25, 1812 - 1883), was a Danish landscape painter who had trained as a porcelain painter while also studying at the Academy in Copenhagen. This was the Golden Age of Danish art, as although influenced by Købke, Eckersbreg and P.C. Skovgaard, Brenstrup became a fine exponent of Danish landscape painting, whether he found his subjects in Italy or at home in the Danish woods.
