For Pride month, I just want everyone to see this amazing new series at Netflix! Writing a review about it (in Swedish unfortunately) and it’s just SO GOOD, I mean; Ellen page and Laura Kinney plus intersectionality, transvisibility and hbqti+-issues! And did I mention it was funny too? Yeah, it’s a keeper! Recommend, recommend.

Abigail Adams(néeSmith) was born on November 11 [O.S.], 1744, in Weymouth, Massachusetts. She was a bright child and avid reader who took an interest in everything from poetry to politics. Abigail fell in love with John Adams, a small farmer and lawyer from Braintree, and in 1764, they were married. They would go on to have four children (Abigail, John Quincy, Charles, and Thomas) and remained devoted to each other until Abigail’s death in 1818. She was highly influential in John’s political career, famously reminding him to “remember the ladies” in the new, independent American government, and was his eternal source of both comfort and counsel. Today, Abigail is considered a true “founding mother.” She was not only the second First Lady of the United States, but also the first of only two women to be both the wife and mother of a President.

Thoughts in hindsight…
  • My introduction to Edward Norton. Maybe the world’s introduction? Anyway he was an absolute powerhouse in this movie. Major screen presence. Terrifying and fascinating.
  • I have a new found respect for Richard Gere’s career choices. It seems like he only goes after these small-scale passion projects, especially lately. Something admirable about that.

Tales of the city (2019)

okkk so this is actually a tv series but I think it works because it is (almost) entirely centered around lgbt characters and lgbt issues and it’s a limited series so there only one season. The idea is basically that a bunch of gays in San Francisco rent out apartments in this really pretty house and the house has a lot of history and stuff. Laura Linney DOES NOT play a lesbian I am sad to say but she is basically the only straight cis character in the entire show! It’s based off of an old show from the 90s (which I have not watched) which was based off of a book series (which I have not read) so idk how it compares to them but on it’s own it’s pretty good. I won’t lie it didn’t leave a lasting impression on me and at times I felt like it was trying too hard buttttt if you have time and want more lgbt content it’s worth it. 7.5/10

wendy byrde this season oh my god yes what a stone cold gangster bitch lmao… i love when she yells angrily ans when she sat down and was watching that annoying ugly old psycho cunt darlene suffer instead of immediately calling an ambulance ughhh i love her and when she showed up at darlenes hospital room smiling and threatening her lmfaooo. looking at darlene disgusts me fr. i wish wendy would have jonah killed next too i hate that dumb little fucking rat i hope he dies hes been getting on my nerves all season long
